And Olympic Stadium opened in 1976 and collapsed ten years later, and again in 1991, and again in 1999. None of that matters. We're talking (in the wrong thread) about Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park and not Camp Nou. The only reason I brought up the boat is, well, things don't last forever.

Things don't last forever. Like the ship in the other thread, which was replaced and which may now be beyond repair. There's also a stadium thread somewhere, I think. The arena doesn't need to be replaced yet.

They need to add a couple of elevators, too, IMO. The single elevator bank (two elevators) isn't enough to handle the volume of people who require it. (I forgot to put this in my other post.)

The arena is 25 years old and looks like it. Seats are torn, pieces are broken off, paint is chipping, the decor is outdated. None of this adds up to a billion-dollar project--and the arena is used for a LOT more than the football stadium. (I've been there for conferences, banquets, and weddings, for example, where someone paid real dollars to rent the club room and catering...this doesn't happen in Orchard Park.) Before COVID, there were several News articles about how it has become nearly dilapidated. It should be updated.

There's a name I hadn't seen in a while, so I looked him up. He spent four years playing in Belarus and China, yuck. He's made it out, though, and is in Sweden now.

Ah, that depends on what team sees their future at the end of the first round. The Bills have done it recently from the other end, I think. EDIT: No, the Bills haven't. But if some team sees value there, they'll do it.

It's the NFL, not NHL. Not sure about "lotto tickets." If the idea is to trade back, I'd rather see them pick up a 2023 first. And I did like the graphs but I cut them to save room.

Oh, believe me, I am in full agreement on this one. It may be the dumbest name in pro sports when you consider it abstractly. And it has nothing to do with Cody killing bison--it's just *dumb*. But because of the two team names, we're left with little choice when it comes to logos. A Buffalo or a B (representing Buffalo and thereby reflecting the city) is going to be involved. Note that the Bandits don't have to revert to that.

This isn't a bad idea. In fact, the more I mull it over, this seems like the most reasonable solution.

There's not room enough on the roster for all of the draftees as it is, so I think it's more likely that he'd trade up.

Seemed to be some of both. I wish I had paid attention more carefully. UPL should be ready to start if they can get the right vet backup in here. If UPL isn't ready to start, then Adams has screwed this up even more than I had thought.

Marty made it sound like there are a lot of possible veteran options on the radio today.

I'm not so sure about that, especially with Levi. A UPL / Levi tandem would have been a nice way to start the season.

Not the issue. The issue: Sabres have two talented goalie prospects that are not under contract and zero talented goalies on the roster.
