  1. That third period was fixed.
  2. Oh I was just screwing around. I'm very fortunate that they were with me for so long.
  3. That's what happens when you leave your thumb up there for too long.
  4. That Rags game was annoying. Did Pittsburgh actually commit *real* penalties in the third period of an elimination game, on the road, in NYC? I missed a lot of it due to phone calls associated with a family situation, but it seemed like every time I went back to the TV, the Rags were on a power play in the third. Why is the ice green? I think you need to put your keyboard in C rather than in B-flat.
  5. He IS the Peter Pan ride. Dude isn't growing up, and he's on his eighth career or so. It's pretty awesome.
  6. I had two when I was born, but I lost one in my 30s and one in my 40s.
  7. Sherwin Williams bought him out. Pratt, too.

  9. Never. You can really hurt your own team in baseball if you've bet on them to win--for example, by leaving an ace pitcher in for too long.
  10. I think the best fit for Trotz is Winnipeg. If I'm the Jets, I have a contract in his face by 5pm.
  11. "When asked why he decided to fire Trotz, Lamoriello said, "I would rather not get into any of the reasons," but he did specify that "this decision was not primarily made on this season." --from ESPN. Uh, what season was it made on, Lou? Last season, when they went to the semifinals? Good luck in coach purgatory. It only took the Sabres about nine years to get out of it.
  12. Man, not that long ago, we were worried that you’d never get to a game again! Great news.
  13. This is a person who needs help, and not necessarily for a gambling problem.
  14. I don't think it's good or bad for sports, and I don't think it's good or bad for most people, but the advertising is out of control and annoying. TBN's website is disguising gambling ads as articles, 1520AM has become a "wagertainment" station, and even WGR can't go five minutes without some mention of FanDuel, DraftKings, or whatever. It's just too pervasive. Imagine if cannabis (also newly legal) ads were this prevalent--a certain segment of the population would be raging about it.
  15. It's unlikely that they'll be a bottom team next year. Take the pick now.
  16. Gen X doesn't think this.
  17. Just barely. And that makes it even dumber.
  18. Millennials and Zoomers who think that everyone over 40 is a "boomer." There's another ***** generation in between, you twits!
  19. Not until Boston #($*^ off first.
  20. Wait--there's a database of these things? That's where you all get them from?
  21. Ruhwedel.
  22. There is. It is two weeks old, and it is here: Now we can all read the same arguments from people who haven't been in a modern sports/concert facility other than the Arena since about 1997, again.
  23. This could go in a few threads, but this one seems to be the most recent. Lance Lysowski in today's News: "The Sabres are expected to add a veteran goalie to work in tandem with Luukkonen. They’ll likely have to target an overlooked option in free agency – like they did with Anderson last summer – or acquire someone via trade. Adams isn’t looking to land a franchise goalie. He simply needs a bridge option and expressed excitement for what’s ahead, including Levi’s potential arrival next spring. The Sabres hold Levi’s NHL rights until the summer of 2024." According to Lysowski's piece, Adams is very high on Levi for the future. I'm not sure what Lysowski means by "overlooked." There's no reason why the Sabres can't target Fleury.
