The "Vasy Says Nyet" sign that some TB fan was waving gave me serious late 80s vibes. Kind of like the scoreboard animations in Major League.

The next time I see the Sabres get the benefit of a hooking call like that will be the first.

Don't be so certain. Every crap could be your last. Just ask Lincoln or Kennedy.

Omigosh are we still talking about Inky's pee life?

Let's work with this. There is NO reason not to throw money for one year at MAF. All the folks who want to send prospects to Chicago for Kane for one year would do well to re-think; the Sabres can have MAF for zero assets except for money, which they have in spades.

So he's the head Coachella.
-
My point is that Kane doesn't help the team have an appreciably better record next season, but surely you knew that.
-
Well, if you spend assets trading for Kane, you no longer have those assets to trade for a goalie, right? Just wait a year and get him for nothing.
-
It's the third link that's the problem. Ticket sales do not lead to a better record; they result from it.
-
WHY? Where does this get the team next year? Not into the playoffs, not with this goaltending. RW is not the issue right now and will not be the issue in two years. Any sacrifice of assets must be to improve the team in the back end and/or long-term, not to provide us with a misguided panacea for Sabre fandom this coming October.

Well, you've named two so far, and I don't know what a wheel of dice is.

Shut up Bogosian, you know you're not gonna go...

He usually does. If Colorado loses this series, he's why. He's a younger Mike Smith. In other news, I don't see Colorado scoring 4 more on Vasilevskiy at home, and I'm really in need of an early night, so...

If the writer is from Chicago, then yes. This is a likely explanation.

I'm sure he's grown up. I'd still be unwilling to trade any real value for him though.

Not one of these proposals comes close to making sense from the Sabres' point of view. Who writes these things and why are they under the impression that the Sabres are one Pat Kane away from the Cup?
-
Chicago is welcome to trade him anywhere else, then. Kane isn't going to help what the Sabres are doing here and now.
-
They can have Dallas's seventh-round pick if they really need something. Every GM in the league knows Chicago is desperate to move on from this contract.

oooohhhhhhh

How's this working out for you?
-
How do you figure? If the Lightning win, Huckleberry and Andrew Amerk will be 73 points ahead of you, as they are now. If the Avalanche win, it's obviously all over. Sorry to bear bad news!

Can't wait for someone to blame Terry and Kim...
