  1. Thanks, fair enough, and I'll stand by the bet if you'd like.
  2. Fifteen years ago. I loved it too. They also had, you know, A GOALIE BEHIND THEM,.
  3. That's gonna be 0-for-2.
  4. Too slow, whitey.
  5. Bet is in. You may be right on the Quinn/Rossi thing, but I don't remember either! But the bet is in. 100 NHL games before June 2026 for Savoie. Oh, if either of us dies before then, it's a null.
  6. What is team Rossi? And I’ll do a $50 charity bet that he doesn’t play 100 NHL games by what, June 2026?
  7. It rhymes with Chet and Muffy. This kid plays 100 NHL games tops.
  8. Locked. I’ll score it tomorrow.
  9. No. I dont need to help these teams. And this helps them more than it helps the Sabres.
  10. That’s not Baker falling, that’s the rest of the league knowing that the Browns ***** up.
  11. They've been married a year, and I'm pretty sure it would NOT be a record anyway.
  12. Damn, I wish the Sabres could have pulled that off. Yeah he's 35. He'll be "retired" as a member of the Coyotes in three years.
  13. So what effect does Johnson's upcoming resignation have on the referendum?
  14. I wonder if he named the kid Liger.
  15. It had to be between about 4pm and 10pm. It wasn't there around 4pm.
  16. Yep. The draft is fun because it's a reminder of hockey, but it's not anything like the NFL draft unless the Sabs have a top 5. (I remember the Vanek draft, for example, and I was going crazy when this scoring monster from Minny was picked up!
  17. I want to note that my opinion on not drafting USSR players isn't political, even though I am (correctly) using "USSR" in terminology. It's simply based upon whether the draftees will be able to play here. I don't think they will.
  18. I should add that those of us of a certain age expected the superfecta of Cyr-Tucker-Creighton-Lacombe in two early 80s drafts to be something. They weren't. Indeed, that Lacombe/Creighton/Tucker draft (which included Barrasso, who met and exceeded expectations) is a cautionary tale for anyone who expected a quick rebuild in 2015 or who expects one now. The Sabres had three firsts that year, as now, and only hit on one; the two seconds were disappointing as well. Puppa, Ruutu, Krupp, and other people with U in their name were found later.
  19. Two birds with one draft, then? I didn't have high hopes for either one; Girgensons has actually exceeded what I thought he could be. How about we (all of us) go the other way, though? I was low on Mule, and I'm liking that pick now. Roy far exceeded my expectations, too.
  20. It's available under almost every other format imaginable, right on the NHL/Sabres site, too. Google, Exchange, Apple, whatever.
  21. Obviously, I am. If the Premier decides not to let USSR players leave, it's a total loss. There's a reason Mogilny lasted until the fifth round.
  22. I just posted in the offseason catchall thread...the USSR is apparently after Kaprizov now in addition to Fedotov. I would not draft a Russian in the early rounds this year.
  23. Another Russian player may be wanted for military service related stuff: https://www.si.com/fannation/bringmethesports/wild/unconfirmed-reports-from-russia-spark-speculation-about-kirill-kaprizov I would NOT draft a Russian in the first couple of rounds right now...
