Again, this is just me... Just as there are a lot of reasons to consider whether a victim is telling the truth about something more recent, there also are a lot of reasons to consider a victim who was harmed in the past. It is difficult for victims to come forward, and it is something that maybe a younger person can't handle. I know a lot of alleged victims and a lot of alleged perpetrators. I know that some of them (both groups) weren't believed, and I know that some of them were (again, both groups), and their experiences are just as divergent. Again, it's a weird tightrope. That the guys currently accused followed the accepted protocol of recording consent, well, that only makes me sad for everyone--I do mean everyone--involved.

IIRC, according to the NHL's definition, which was widely accepted AND respected here at the time, Toronto didn't even make the playoffs just two years ago. With that market, they are a joke. They're like the 1980s Yankees or the current Dallas Cowboys.

Not really. And is another AHLer really "something?" Plus the Sabres still have his rights. It's ok to not like Adams without *looking for* reasons to not like Adams, you know?

Sabres Sign UFA Goalie Eric Comrie 2 Years 1.8 Million AAV
Eleven replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
She is one of those people I've heard of, but I have absolutely no idea who she is, what she does (although I'm sure it's some form of entertainment), or how old she is or where she's from. 50 year old cooking show host from Scotland? 25 year old country music artist from Kentucky? 35 year old comedian from South Africa? No idea. So I'll have to google her. -
At BEST at best. More likely a swap for another AHL player, IMO.

Yeah they are! -
The Swiss league isn't KHL caliber, though. Maybe he will want more of a challenge.

Yes. Go back to the tweet and see what he is quoting. He quotes three tweets by a person (a friend maybe or another sportswriter, I don't know) and puts his survey on top of it.

He is reacting to another tweet from someone who had to cut his brother out of his life.

Daigle was charged forever ago.

Who would you 'pay early' or 'overpay' before they proved/earned it?
Eleven replied to mjd1001's topic in The Aud Club
And what about Drury and Briere? Come off it, there are plenty of examples of each situation. These deals work as often as they don’t (McDavid, Crosby). -
I don't think she was pressured, from what I read. I do think she may have been drunk, though (yes, I know she stated otherwise on camera). And she's responsible for that. We have a problem with this part of our culture right now: It's either "let women be sexual, don't slut-shame, let them do what they want" or "the guys pressured her." I have NO idea whatsoever what happened then and there, but it's 50/50 to me that this is post-event regret (especially given the pressure from her mom) / rape.

Yeah that's the part I don't know. -

It's risk/reward evaluation for both sides, right? Sometimes they meet in the middle, sometimes they don't. -

Re Dahlin: In real life, parties can end contracts early if they agree to do so, and can renegotiate a new one. In NHL world, there's probably some restriction on that. Still, whenever he CAN sign a new deal, if he's willing to, the Sabres should jump at it. Re Thompson: Same problem for me--I just don't know this CBA well enough to answer. -

Thompson, definitely. Get it done now at 8 x 6.5 or 8 x 7 if they can. Can't hit if you don't swing... Power maybe, depending on what we see. He very well could be a guy that I would offer 8 years, and not a bridge deal. Dahlin, if he wants to end his bridge deal early. -
Can someone explain why Sidney Crosby absolutely MUST retire as a Penguin (from another thread) but Patrick Kane needn't retire as a Blackhawk? They're each as iconic to their teams and they each won three Cups with them.

Sabres Sign UFA D-Man. Update the Sabres Bought Him A Printer

Yer a wizard, Harry -
Do the Sabres actually need more RHD or does it not matter?
Eleven replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Well, one guy whom I've always loved is suddenly available. He's a little old now, but his brother is already on the team as a goalie/singer. Aged like milk. -

Mine has moveable type. -
I don't agree with your picks, but I do like your rationale.

Very doubtful that I can make it this time, TW. I might have more luck the following season. Thanks as always for working on this.

Lottery protect the first and ok. Again, why is everyone fleeing Calgary?
