This is tricky. Both the Sabres' and Devils' sites tell me the game is at 8. NOT a normal start time in Buffalo. My phone sports app tells me it's at 6, which, converting time zones, puts it at 7 ET. Google tells me 7 ET as well. I'll have to go with the official site for now. Anyway. The Devils' win streak was broken on Wednesday, with three disallowed goals, much disappointment, and many beer cans thrown at the officials. Let's see the Sabres start a NJ LOSING streak!

I didn't get to watch most of the game, so I don't know about mega hits, but I was pretty close on the score.

Let's see another win and be confident in the turnaround! And I mean another 7-2 win with Blues strewn all over the ice after mega hits.

I didn't get to see much--I worked into the evening and then had to pack--but what I did see (about ten minutes of the second period), I liked. Commanded the game from start to finish, mixed it up physically, Anderson played well, killed power plays.

Well this is a nice surprise.

It's just so hard for me to not say what's on my mind, here.

Oh also: @calti take some time to relax. Learn to play the violin or how to gut a fish or something. Baking is popular these days. But you're killing yourself over this football team--I don't even do that with the Sabres anymore! Yeah? I watched the one where he got hit and found out, and he's not the same.

The problem is, every time someone floats the "Buffalo has to overpay" theory, which HAS BEEN DEBUNKED AND IS FALSE (sorry, I lived in the US from 2017-2021 so I have to be very loud with debunking), people jump on it. As they already have here.

This myth has been exploded on this board over and over again to the point that it's not worth it anymore. I know you're new and I welcome you (hey that rhymes!) but this isn't a thing and I think it's been demonstrated enough.

I'm not sure CBC lets Spectrum have the HD. In any event, I'd rather watch CBC and have their announcers than have HD. I can follow a puck in low/reg def just like I could before there was HD.

There are lots of disaster-prone areas in states with little or no state income tax; people in states like NY are subsidizing people in those states because they rely more on federal funds than we do (and not just for disaster-related spending, either). @JoeSchmoe 's point is a good one.

The way this season is headed, I'd have no problem with the Sabres taking penalties just to show Boston and Ottawa that if they're gonna ***** around, they're gonna find out. Especially if some posters are right and Adams is tanking *again*.

Need to backfill the pipeline now, not in mid-December after one of the other guys goes down.
