I'm reading more on Wright this morning. It seems that he and the team have decided on a development path that includes a lot of time observing.

Now this, this is an interesting couple. Should make for much hockey drama this year.

Not this season, but I've been there plenty of times for conferences, events, even a wedding. Very corporate, sanitized, non-offensive feel to it. The food is exactly what you'd think Delaware North's idea of good banquet food is.

Well, I'm off the hook. I couldn't watch the game--I don't get ESPN+ and my parents won't let me watch the Playboy Channel, even if it's hockey and even though I'm a grownup. SO I don't know what happened. But they lost, my streak is broken, and someone else can start a GDT in 15 minutes.

Very similar to what my friend said--but she added that the Devils do want to give Brunette some time. So I'd think that any date after January 1 is really fair game. STILL?!

A friend with a bit of an inside track on the Devils tells me that the expectation is that Ruff will train Brunette to succeed him and then retire at the end of the year (his contract is expiring).
