  1. I had no idea there was college football. I'll put that on. It's better than having an aneurysm dealing with people who think Mittlestadt is ok. Also, Liger, Amanda says hi to you and yours.
  2. His WHAT? Are you out of your mind? Part of defensive hockey is not losing the puck in the first place!
  3. He was HORRIBLE today. Cozens lost it once on the half-wall on the early power play, and then for the rest of the first period, it was the Sabres catching up to Mittlestadt's screwups. GET RID OF HIM AND HIS NO PULL-UP ASS NOW. I didn't like him as a draft pick, I didn't like him as a prospect, and I don't like him now. His tow-head ass can play anywhere else. Goodbye. I am assuming you mean the first period. It was a debacle. He looked like he was hung over.
  4. I think the theory here is you do NOT want to play Buffalo after a disaster, whether snow or plane or whatever.
  5. Yessir. He is the definition of an AAAA guy.
  6. Samuelsson is, right now, the best and most responsible stay-at-home defender on the team. Is he the most skilled? No. Dahlin is more skilled but he is (reasonably) asked to play a different role, as is Power. Jokiharu is similar, but out for the time being. I want Samuelsson here for a long time.
  7. Burn the sweaters and Liger.
  8. Please don't tell Adams.
  9. I still don't know who he is.
  10. 1. I said this would be an event, but even I didn't expect a KO hat trick. 2. Burn those sweaters. Sabres wear blue and gold. The slugs are preferable to that junk.
  11. This could be. There was a lot of teal and it was from Cali.
  12. I was at the game after the plane crash in Clarence (win over Anaheim), and I remember fondly the Sabres beating the ***** out of the Flyers after the October storm. Tonight should be an EVENT.
  13. @LGR4GM help me out here. Meme to English, please.
  14. WE KNOW
  15. No, which is why Miami has been cheating all year covering up his concussions. Why he's complicit in it, I've no idea.
  16. WTF is this from the US?
  17. But I know the result now. It's ok. USA at WJC in 75 minutes.
  18. He hasn't plowed North Buffalo, from what I hear.
  19. Oh.
  20. He has nothing to lose...
  21. UB is in a bowl game? I could watch that.
  22. Sidewalks are not curbside in the city any more than they are in the suburbs, unless you're talking about Main Street downtown, which isn't the issue (and the sidewalks there are wide enough to accommodate snow removal). I've had three homes here in 20 years, all three on major streets; all of them have had a grass strip between the street and the sidewalk just like Amherst. Even Elmwood and Delaware have space between the sidewalk and the street. Population density is an issue. But cars parked on the side do not impede plowing--trust me, I had to dig my car out of plowed snow when I lived on Richmond many, many times. They just plow the snow into the car and it's the car owner's responsibility to dig out, as it should be. Pulling together involves staying off of the roads, yes, but it also involves a collective discussion about how and why we are in the state we are in.
  23. Hi everyone. The presidency in question ended almost two years ago. Would you prefer to keep this thread going or to start a new thread discussing his laughable attempt to be elected again in 2024?
  24. For years, I loved Brown because he stayed OUT OF THE WAY. Buffalo's business development needed that and our resurrection benefitted from it. But "out of the way" isn't what we need anymore. I'm not a Poloncarz fan (mostly because of his lack of commitment to homeless causes), but I'll say this: when we have a crisis, the guy knows what he's doing. Hochul has annoyed me since her days as county clerk, when there was a backup of THIRTEEN MONTHS to record a mortgage. She's nothing but a crony who benefitted from a gubernatorial crisis and a lot of bad makeup. Still, she cares about WNY more than any governor we've ever had. We need to get rid of Brown. India Walton was obviously not the answer, for a number of reasons, but either the Democrat leaders need to tell Brown that enough is enough, or the Republicans need to propose a candidate who isn't a Trumpeter.
  25. Also I'm starting a thread in the politics club for the people who want a deeper political discussion of what's going on. I don't think criticizing officials in this thread crosses the line and I would ask that mods not move such posts--but we can have a more robust discussion about the city-county-state relationship, and whether certain "leaders" are obsolete/ineffective, in the thread I'm going to start.
