GDT: Seattle at Buffalo-November 29, 2021-7pm-MSG, ESPN+, WGR550

Pretty embarrassing to get swept by the expansion team. IIRC the first time the Bills played the Seahawks they got embarrassed. -
Friedman:Sabres are looking for Goaltending Help
gilbert11 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
That spreadsheet has too much data and, from your screenshot, there’s no way to tell how it’s sorted. Really, the best info to evaluate is Save%. I sorted it on Save% of Shots on Goal. No, Murray is not among the top goalies with a Save% of .890 but it’s a lot better than Dell’s .862. Next best stat is Goals Against Average, which doesn’t take into account the number of shots faced or the quality of shots faced. Murray’s GAA is 3.26, worlds better than Dell’s 4.56. Likewise, Tokarski recently had back-to-back games where he faced 40+ shots. His GAA of 3.05 is very good considering the number of shots he faces. -
They didn’t retire it?

What about Maynard G. ?

I was watching the NHL Network and Kevin Weekes gave an update that he thinks it’s close and he gave Calgary as the top destination, slightly better odds than Vegas Golden Knights.

You never know. IIRC Mario Lemieux was possibly on track to challenge Gretzky’s records but had so many health issues. He had Hodgkin lymphoma, spinal disc herniation and chronic back issues. Still he kept making comebacks and at the time of his final retirement ranked 7th in career points.

I guess I missed it. So, are they going with just Okposo and Girgenson as Alernate Captains this season, without a named captain?
-
How about an injured Eichel for an injured Byfield plus a couple picks? That sounds fair at this point.

So, it’s like this: Owen Power, you’ve just been selected first in the draft by the Buffalo Sabres. What do you have to say? “I’m going to college.” Devon Levi, you’ve just been traded to the Buffalo Sabres. What do you have to say? “I’m going to college.” Will we have a player quit in the middle of the season to go to college instead? -
Sabres goalies get no love in Yahoo Fantasy Rankings
gilbert11 replied to gilbert11's topic in The Aud Club
That shows you what they think of Craig Anderson and Dell. -
I was just looking at the goalie rankings on Yahoo for our Sabrespace Fantasy League. No Buffalo goalie is ranked in the Top 100. The first goalie listed is Mat Robson at 122. LOL! Man, this is going to be along season for Sabres fans! Hey, SDS/Derrico, we should have a penalty for the first team to draft a Sabre. Maybe give them the worst waiver priority to start the season?

So, after 3 preseason games, Anderson and Tokarski have played the best in goal. Are they going to give Levi a shot? -

They’ve wet the bed and the stained sheets are hanging out, flapping in the wind for all to see. -
They were AM&Azing.
-
I’m interested if you decide to go to 12 teams.

He was also part of an awesome power play for the Sabres in the mid-70s. It was the French Connection, Jerry Korab and Stanfield IIRC. They were often like bing-bang-boom-goal.

He was saving his cap space.

More than a week after that meeting and ‘crickets’?! Anyways, Happy Labor Day! -

That sounds like a Yogi Berra quote: “Nothing’s happening until something happens.”
