And they give up yet another empty net goal! That is the 11th they’ve given up but, despite what I suspected, that is not the most as Colorado has given up 15. It just seemed that in every one goal game the Sabres have played lately, they’ve given one up and lose by 2.

“Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.” I followed online for first 2 periods, then watched the 3rd. I caught up to live so I paused at a commercial break. When I went back, ESPN+ no longer had the game available. So, fortunately I didn’t have to watch the end. How many games have they given up empty net goals now? Maybe they should stop pulling the goalie. The extra attacker doesn’t help.

It seems like just a few days ago that the Sabres were only 4 points back of the last wildcard spot. Now it’s 10 points so Adios! Sayonara! Aloha! Don’t let the door hit you in the butt on the way out!

I have to say I’m pretty surprised to see this thread at 25 pages. Before I even read anything, this shows me people still care, even if it’s only to talk about how the Sabres suck. I subscribe to ESPN+ to get the UB football and basketball games, as well as Sabres games, but I’ve lost interest in watching the Sabres.

Then place a big bet on the team he’s traded to to win the Stanley Cup the following year. 😉

As I said recently, a 2 minute penalty for an unsuccessful challenge is too much of a punishment and just plain stupid. For the NFL & NBA they just lose a timeout. MLB gives no punishment.

Oakland A’s fans, by some logic, did a “reverse boycott” where they planned a sellout to prove they could fill the stadium. Unfortunately, that made no difference to the A-Hole owner. Gotta hit ‘em in the pocketbook I say. The previous Golden State Warriors owner was booed mercilessly when he took the court with his young son to make a presentation. A website was created urging him to sell the team. A few months later, the team was up for sale. Coincidence, or was he shamed to sell? Shaming obviously didn’t work for the A’s owner despite all those ‘ Sell’. t-shirts visible at all their games. Hasn’t Sabres attendance been at an all-time low anyways? Lots of empty seats and shirts of other teams visible on telecasts. Depending on the opponent, crowd seems louder for an opponent’s goal.

Bradford’s style of play kept them in the game for awhile. They’re like the Warriors and the Steve Nash Phoenix Suns; run and get up shots early in the shot clock. They also played full court pressure defense the whole game. UB had 26 turnovers and still got 100 points. They had this guy Batchelor inbounding vs the press and he kept getting the ball stolen (7 TOs). With Bradford’s style of play, they had 28 turnovers. When UB got the ball inbounds and made the next pass, they usually broke the press and ended up with good shots.

Maybe some of these guys should be paid only $8 per season.

I should have known better. With the 4-0 lead, I went to the UB basketball game. When that game ended, I looked online to see the Sabres result. What the hell happened?!
