I guess I just have to accept that Power is who he is. I expected a 6’6” 225# defenseman to have a lot more than 26 hits in 79 games. What a waste of size! He’s like a 7 foot NBA player hanging out at the 3 point line.

I don’t understand what they saw in Owen Power to extend him out at $8M per year out thru the 2030/31 season. Anybody? He’s now an albatross and I doubt you could find another team to trade for him with that deal for probably a few years.

So what does he need improvement on. I do remember Biron getting thrown into a game at 18 where he didnt react and move his glove until after the puck was in the net.

Wait, after Levi was acquired, they threw him in there at the end of that season, including several consecutive starts, and he looked very good. What has happened since then that has him stuck in Rochester? Two years ago, it looked like UPL had blossomed so Levi was kept down to get more action. What is Levi lacking now that is keeping him in Rochester despite looking so good in Rochester?

Yes, they’re playing in Sacramento, where I live. You probably don’t follow it like I do but the latest episode of the clown show was priceless. The agreement the A’s signed with Vegas had a clause where the A’s had to start building the stadium in 180 days. Before that deadline, the A’s held a fake groundbreaking where they rented a bunch of heavy machinery for the day for the photo op. What a bozo?! And they don’t force him to sell.

I see 11 games in October but get your point of being home heavy. One positive of this past season was the good home record.

Went thru this with my Oakland A’s. Somehow their A-hole owner convinced the other owners he was in a small market in a city in the SF Bay Area and continued to get revenue sharing until they saw he wasn’t spending any on the team. Then for some reason they started giving it to him again. Now, they’re playing in a Triple A stadium here in the Sacramento area rent free and they have the highest average ticket price in MLB. As bad as you guys may think Terry is, John Fisher is definitely one of the worst sports owners of all time.

So, has Adams actually said he’s happy with the goaltenders?

I’d rather trade Power and his contract and keep Byram.

The Zoom room with the team members was a decent idea but the execution was poor. The NBA & NFL do well with teams in their own war rooms, so I’m not sure the NHL needs to have them at the draft. It always seemed strange to me to have up to a dozen people climb up on the stage for one to make the selection.

Five minutes per pick was really like 15.

As others have said here, if you keep getting rid of players that don’t want to be on the team, it’ll be a revolving door and what do you have left?

I’ve reviewed the video of that play. I did see Samuelson move into the post hit gathering and give someone a push. That’s more than you’d likely get out of Power. Nobody else on the ice did anything.
