  1. First of all, was he really the best pick of his draft? Second, what did management see in him to give him that big contract? I don’t see it. What I see is a big slow wuss, afraid of contact, with some offensive talent.
  2. Why has he been dropped to the 3rd line?
  3. I’m a day older!
  4. Sabres win 5-2. Cozens a (-4). Enough said.
  5. Yeah, and get Owen Power out of here.
  6. Unfortunately those back-to-back losses to Montreal are huge. Sabres 9 points back right now. Had they won both those Montreal games in regulation, they’d be only 6 pts back. But, here we are riding out the schedule of the 14th straight non-playoff season.
  7. I think he’s been looking in the garage or his basement.
  8. What a wacky team! Beat Edmonton, Vegas and now Winnipeg on the road, but lose at home to San Jose. Somebody, please make it stop!
  9. At one of the best teams in the league. Sabres might score a goal when the Jets are laughing so hard at them, they forget the game is still going on.
  10. They now lead the league in ENGs allowed! Yay!
  11. Calm down. There’s no need to yell.
  12. I was there back in I think ‘84. Their alcohol laws were weird. We went to a bar and they couldn’t sell you alcohol but would sell you the setup. You had to buy your alcohol elsewhere and bring it in. So, there’s nicely dressed women walking around with brown paper bags with bottles of liquor.
  13. The reviews of that Cozens/Norris trade said Norris was a better talented offensive player but was injury prone. He played 3 games and we haven’t seen him since.
  14. For all major sports events, Yes. Sure, the Bills won 2 AFL titles, the Buffalo Bisons hockey team won some league titles before the Sabres, the Bisons baseball team has won some league titles. Even UB has won conference titles in football and basketball, but nothing national. It even goes back to the Little Three college basketball. The Bob Lanier led 1970 Bonnie’s were good enough to win the national title but Lanier got injured and they were knocked out. Snakebite, I say!
  15. Let’s see if they can beat their last winless streak. Only 8 more to go.
  16. Yep, Power is the softest. He has 23 hits in 61 games. Little Zach Benson has the same.
  17. The Hockey News did a scorecard of Cozens vs Norris and had it advantage Ottawa. So why did Adams have to throw in a 2nd round pick?
  18. Power built like ape, play like Capuchin monkey.
  19. After watching this game, which team do you think has the brighter future?! I had to watch San Jose broadcast and it was interesting to hear their announcers talk about how surprising it is that the Sabres as a team are so bad defensively when they have two #1 overall picks in Dahlin and Power and another top pick in Byram.
  20. So, a game between the worst teams in each conference didn’t seem to be much of a draw as there were lots of blue seats visible. You even had the “Echo Idiots” with their calls with it being so empty.
  21. You expect to get good things back with Adams doing the trading.? What big trade has he pulled off to the Sabres advantage?
  22. I hope they don’t trade Tuch. He’s my current favorite player and is playing so well.
  23. The stats back this up. Cozens and Quinn have the worst +/- numbers on the team.
  24. We have too many offensive defensemen. They’re fine in supporting an offense that’s 13th in goals scored, but when goals against has you ranked 23rd, you’re not going to win a lot. I’m sick of watching games like today where an opponent has an easy goal alone right in front of the net. If Power is not going to use his hulk of a body, he’s worthless. The offense of 2 seasons ago was fun to watch , despite still not being enough to make the playoffs. Last year’s team was not fun at all to watch. This team is about in the middle of the two. Sometimes there’s enough offense to be in and win some games and be entertaining. Other times, being dominated offensively and defensively is not entertaining.
