Sign Stamkos, hope they get two or three good to great years from him and then trade him once the rest of the team comes of age and there is a cup or two in the case. Get an NHL piece to replace him and a bunch of futures to further stock the shelves. Simple.

Bylsma has said that he sees the roster as 32 deep. With call ups for injury considered, each of the players not on the current big club roster are being groomed to fill needs as they arise. I think it brings up an interesting question , who makes the big club and who slots in as a role player/callup? Also, how will it break down? 18 F 10 D and 4 G? Assuming they add Stamkos and Vesey, this is how I could see the 32 possibly breaking down next year IMO. NHLN had alot to say about Pu. Even the host had his own little story about him. I already said I like this pick but as time goes by I love it! I think this guy will play in the NHL.

i'd like to think that puts us in great shape. We have a top pair, know who to protect and still have prospects growin on the farm for future years I think he's progressed consistently since he's been in the league, is a natural leader and hasn't come close to his ceiling IMO

Just watching the 2nd round on dvr because well, why not. The NHLN crew were very complimentary of the trade, all of them praised Kulikov as a solid all around D and think Buffalo gets better.
