What sucks is that the media is driving the bus on this. Whether Jack has requested a trade or the team has decided to pursue one, the media is the one telling the stories. Just because Dreger says "it feels like" it's time for a change means it is?

I would have agreed with you a few weeks ago while KO just skated around slowly, turning the puck over alot BUT he has been pretty darn ok lately. That being said, next years team does not have a place for him.

Those teams were closer to the Flyers than the current Sabres team. Flyers are loaded with vets, poised to make a playoff run and are struggling to barely make it in. This Sabres team is young, growing and learning and just hungry to learn how to win right now.

One of my favorite parts of last night (read upthread somewhere I think?) was that Eakin and Reider were stapled to the bench for the last 10 mins of the third. Thank you coach.

That would be a mistake IMO The kids are emerging, they need a coach/teacher right now to continue to work through their on ice mistakes and develop their games even further. When the kids mature, if they need a push to get them over the hump, then make a change.

One thing stuck out to me watching tonight. The forecheck, notably Asplund and R2, puts alot more pressure on the D because of their speed, positioning and stick work.

I agree. He's got them engaged in their on ice improvement. I think he has their buy in and trust right now and the results speak for themselves. Not to mention they know he's going to have video proof of their performance waiting for them.

Who knows right now if Bjork will continue to play like he has but it's been quite a debut for him as a Buffalo Sabre, one of the best in recent memory. He picked up a second star and has 3 points in his first two games. Can he get even better as he gets to know his teammates or will he fizzle into oblivion? Stay tuned.

Maybe he takes em as far as he can and when or if they plateau again you bring in the vet to push em over the edge.

Granato will coach in the NHL next year I believe. In Buffalo or not.

Washington pissed now after Sabres went up 4-2. Bjork dogged that puck the whole shift before he scored that goal. That kind of play will earn him some fans in Buffalo.
