This is a Team Spirit thread. Last years team has no place in here. Anyone who leaves the Sabres is done to me. I wish them no ill will but I'm not going to be rooting for them either. They mean nothing to me anymore.

Well said. I'm with this line of thinking also. I'll add that the most pressure being applied right now is by the media, who have decided that the Sabres have to trade Eichel now and any delay is a black eye on the Sabres. Jacks original statement from his end of year presser included a line that said something along the lines of wanting to win, whether that's here OR somewhere else. Everyone, Jack, fans media and the team seized on the somewhere else part and have just continued to drive that narrative into a frenzy. Now it seems there is no turning back but Adams and the Buffalo brass need to stay the course and get the assets they need and deserve for a franchise 1C that Eichel is. Broken, injured or whatever he is doesn't matter. You want him, you pay. Assume the risk, reap the reward. Otherwise don't bother the Sabres with your call.

Hayden can step up if he has to and keep Cozens from having to do it. Hagg and Miller make it atleast 3 in the lineup who can provide a face to punch,if needed. Besides, the bs aren't the big bad Bs that they used to be and the object of the game is not to fight. If the bs get upset at the pesky play and want to take umbrage, atleast there is some toughness available.

I feel like there were alot of times it was Jack taking on 3 defenders and losing the puck over the last several years. I feel like guys on the ice with him were guilty of standing around waiting for the great Jack Eichel to make a play.

Fists of Fury lets GO!!! Thats not the way they play the game anymore but I am glad the Sabres addressed team toughness without bringing in a Ryan Reaves type. You need to be able to protect yourselves. I think Hayden has lost his last three fights but he took on some heavyweights so I'll give him a pass. Side note: did anyone see Marcus superman punch last night? Miss that man!!
