  1. He was ok there and they do have a need. I'd like to see them have a chance to make some noise in the playoffs.
  2. Hopefully they just let him drift off into oblivion but they'll more than likely put him back in Rochester. Does this freeze his suspension? Since he's not on the active roster would they not count these games as "suspended games?"
  3. Robson playing at an AHL level in goal helped too.
  4. 2nd ranked PP couldn't get it done....until....with 18 seconds left in the PP they finally get set up in the zone and boom...the powerhouse Macinnis gets it done with 6.4 left. Nice!
  5. That sequence before the goal from JJ was something sorely lacking from the Sabres and a really impressive part of his game imo. Backchecks, steals(hooks?), retrieves and counters resulting in a drive into the offensive zone and a crazy looking shot the goalie was forced to save with a man crashing the front of the net. I really hope he continues his style of play in the league because he will bring the fans out of their seats nightly.
  6. From article above.... "Portillo, nicknamed the “Swedish bull” for how zealously he comes out of the tunnel before games".. And from Portillo.... "I mean, yeah, I’ve been thinking about it (the NHL), but right now I’m really happy with where I am, so we’ll see what happens after the season.”
  7. Lets GO Boys!!!!! Get this W!!!!
  8. Erik Portillo currently sits in the top 20 in all major statistical categories for college hockey. He's been talked about as the MVP of the star studded Michigan Wolverines thus far in the season. On a team full of top draft picks that is a nice honor. Now, some of his teammates have left campus and are playing for Olympic medals leaving Portillo and company to hold down the fort. He's got time to develop, there's really no rush right now with the current state of the Sabres. It's just nice knowing he's there, getting better. Being mentioned as a RockStar Goalie doesn't hurt either. https://www.mlive.com/wolverines/2022/01/rock-star-goalie-erik-portillo-a-difference-maker-for-michigan-hockey.html
  9. Lineups for this event are pretty slight with no current NHLers. I don't really know most of the Team Canada D core besides Power.
  10. I'm with you on that. I think Matthews goes home to the desert after the Yotes get two high draft picks over the next couple years and rebuild their roster to accept him.
  11. Lifetime ban I heard
  12. Lets GO Boys!!!!!!! Bjork, looking at you tonight. This is ur chance don't blow it.
  13. Happy for Casey. Let's hope he can stay healthy now and get in on some of this development happening. Love to see him finish the season strong.
  14. Having Diggs, Beasley, McKenzie, Sanders there helps him of course but he gets separation and makes tough catches. Not all of them but nobody does. I think he would still get open and make plays in a traditional 2 or 3 wr set. I'm excited for his future.
  15. What a coming out party! It makes me wonder about his early season usage. Were they saving him for that moment? I kid, but I do question the favoritism in lineup and rotation.
  16. Just once
  17. Also...why couldn't Jankowski center the 4 th line and sit Eakin if Tuch plays.
  18. Does anyone else not really like the idea of Tuch killing penalties and potentially taking shots off his ankles or other body parts. I get, it happens during a game but PK is actively trying to eat pucks. Just seems risky for no good reason. Save it for the post season...whenever that is.
  19. Not in the playoffs
  20. Thankful for that
