I don't think any of that matters. Whether they trade him or not has nothing to do with his recent performance or then ext few games -
Right. Stats and 'analytics" don't tell the whole story.

Cuts both ways, actually makes him very attractive to other teams. Question is whether he fits into the mold of the type of player PLF and TM want. I would venture to say no. -

He is a really good defenseman with a great cap number -
Nolan kicked John Scott out of practice this morning

Its about sending a message to a team, Scott is the perfect player to use for it because he generally sucks at sticckhandling and his feelings won't get hurt by it. No ego to bruise and even if you could, he's a 4min or less player on most nights. -
Pegula has ties to Pitt and thus ties to Bylsma, is it possible he meddled and forced Quick to start so we can more easily get rid of Miller? Will this meddling cost the US a....... medal ? Does this mean free agents won't come to Buffalo now?

Pretty much everyone in the business already does and has since TP came into town. -

Who exactly? No one in the top 30 in scoring is french. Even with Canadians, there's only one forward with high end talent thats french. This team can't score goals, that's what we need. I don't care where that player grew up. -
This. The best skater in the game stay very low. Of course it's hard to do and your legs burn like H_ll

If he doesn't return home.

Science - the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.

Yes and no, it's a philosophy of believing things being able to be proven by verifiable methods. That's why Bill Nye said only evidence will change his mind. It's not really a belief or philosphy, its taking real evidence in front of you. There's nothing wrong about reading parables and applying it to what you see around you, but that does not make it a science. I do. It's just not called science, which has a fairly well understood meaning.
-
+1. Agree, too lazy to write a nice post, like yours, on this issue. How does it qualify as science? simply the study of? Because virtually has nothing has changed in thousands of years despite the advancement of many things not explainable at the time of religious writings.
-
Not all humans believed the earth was flat at that time, and evidence changed their mind. Religious texts have been studied for thousands of years and nothing has changed. Luckily, we as a human race are now lead, in part, by real science and no longer believe the Earth is flat or that the Sun revolves around us. That is the difference between science and the study of ancient texts.
-
Yes it is. It's not based on any evidence at all. Religion is not a science. It doesn't make it wrong though. Precisely. Nothing will change the mind of a creationist, thus it's a belief system. A scientist follows the evidence.

Yup its why teams send scouts to games...... and don't just use nhl.com to determine if they like a player.

That's the problem with so called hockey guys who rely on "advanced" statistics like this writer did. Miller isn't worth it because of his analysis of save %?? This precisely what TM said when he joined, that he doesnt really use those kind of stats and they are for people with less hockey knowledge. When it comes to save % you have to account for quality of shots too. Miller is getting bombarded and is still playing his best in years, save % or not. But I guess when you dont know what you're seeing on the ice, you rely on stats.

What if Terry meddles and they in fact do have little freaky eyed kids?

This is absolutely untrue. The CDC reports that around 750k patients leave the US for care. They aren't all getting boob jobs and face lifts. Most are older patients who can't get it covered here and it's far too expensive because it's much more a money making business here.

The agreement with Rogers, the largest media-rights deal in League history, begins next season and money from that deal impacts the League's projection for next season's salary cap The salary cap for the 2014-15 season is projected to be approximately $71 million... up from 64M This article was after the BOG meeting and the one you cited, where the picture became more clear. http://www.nhl.com/i...s.htm?id=695203

close. I'm worried about cap purgatory for a player who many say is on the decline. Projecting the cap to go up 30+Million in 6 years is pretty aggressive especially when a huge TV contract was just signed and accounted for.
