Haha I gave up posting on there awhile back....only rarely do I make a post these days. Just not worth it - I just use the site for news updates and whatnot. Meanwhile, I hear LabattBlue has been stuck at 10,000 posts for some time now!

Don't mind if I do! I haven't watched more than 10 minutes of any Sabres game in several weeks due to this exam I'm taking Friday. My brain is frickin fried and I'm ridiculously out of shape. With playoffs around the corner and some nice spring weather, all shall soon be well.

OOooohhhh what kind of Cereal?

Thanks for the link!!!! So I recently discovered http://www.grooveshark.com .... not sure how long it's been around - check it out: search for songs, create playlists, upload your own songs, create personalized radio station, etc. It's like iTunes, online, but you can add any song you want. Pretty neat, I thought I'd share. And in my head right now? April in Paris, a Count Basie classic ;) Go Sabres....

I have a fun story about 100,000. Feb. '08. My buddy, a pompous jackass Pats* fan, is hosting a Superbowl party for his then 18-0 team. At the time he was 20, so I had to get booze for his party, and he requested a nice big bottle of champagne. Upon arrival, I realize that my car was at 99,994 miles. We exchange boozes and monies, and he's acting all confident that there's no way his Patsies* can lose. So eventually he tells me: Fine, I'll GIVE you this bottle of champagne if they lose. So at halftime he brings out like a nice bucket of ice with the champagne, cigar in hand, etc., and he and his cohort of Pats* faithful are huddled in the corner all serious and whatnot. By the way, this is in Pittsburgh, so there were maybe 40 rooting for the Giants, and 5 or so in silence rooting for the Pats*. I'm sure you could predict the rest of the story. We acquire the champagne, cruise around the city for the final 6 miles, pulling up to our place just as the ticker shows the five zeroes. Victory was ours!! The Merc won the Superbowl!!!

Wings- My family had to put down our first dog, of 15 years. Like you, I at that time thought it was absolutely awful to try to replace her right away. Nevertheless, we got a new little guy the very next week and it ended up being the best thing to do to get over the previous dog! Just my two cents.. I know your situation is a bit different what with the second dog still at your side. Good Luck!

Not true! Worked more hours as a student for sure, but the weekly schedule is so much different than the work week.

I can't remember if I've ever watched the NHL awards show before, but that was pretty lame and boring.

I thought the exact same thing about 311 when I posted that. They have a few great songs, but not so much catchy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Af1CnCX1Qyg...feature=related is your best bet. On a related note, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylKwUGeTdU0 maybe my favorite STP song.

Hell yeah! The crowd meter shows current decibels, average decibels, and max decibels. And there's an out of town scoreboard too! The fights were also so much better. NHL 95 had awesome fights.

I played a round and a half myself. Gorgeous day for it.

Walked outside today and apparently someone just hit the front corner of my car hard enough to scratch it and knock the headlight completely off and onto the road. Two weeks ago, I came home from 4 days of traveling to find the left side mirror was just completely knocked off... found some pieces on the road. Glad my car wasn't a beautiful piece of art to begin with. Oh yeah and layoffs.... thought I was invincible, but apparently I was wrong! :wallbash: Lastly, now that the weather's getting real nice, I REALLY miss the porch on the house I moved out of last year

Yeah I've been told anywhere from 4.5 to 5.5 beers fit in a disc, but the only time I've actually measured it was barely over 4.5. If you try it yourself, note that what we use is this: http://www.discraft.com/ultprod.html And haha the guy in the lower right is what we call a damn rookie beotch!

heh thanks. I shouldn't really be complaining about my job -- it's sweet, I play with robots all day. My complaint would be the daily routine of the 40-hour work week. I absolutely loved the flexibility of anywhere from 6-20 hours of class per week, spread out so that everything else could be done at my own discretion. For example, now that I'm working, I have to either wake up at 5:30am to run, or run in the dark after work -- as opposed to: class->work out->lunch->class->homework....... No worries, I'm going back to school for my PhD next year. :) :) :) However, I do enjoy having enough free time to watch every single Sabres game.

Haha yea I have heard of KanJam... I had never really heard of competitive ultimate before I went to Carnegie-Mellon, so when I found out about KanJam I was surprised to see its popularity in WNY. I've seen it played in a Pittsburgh-area ultimate tourney. Yup, UofR, UB, and RIT all have well-established teams. I'd love to see it more at the high school level in Rochester; I know that a handful of HS teams (one of the Pittsfords I know does) have been established in recent years. Here in Pittsburgh, they have something like 38 high school teams, and a pretty big ultimate community.

Well mind you that while I pride myself on eating every morsel of meat off 'dem bones, these aren't the meatiest wings around. (Although.....decent. Fatheads is the best I've had in Pittsburgh; this was at Buffalo Blues.) I actually ate 51 wings on my birthday back in September. So last night, somewhere between Wing 32 and Wing 37 I had ordered another half dozen while also recalling the trauma I had suffered during my 51-wing performance. So I decided to spare myself a little misery and smuggle them out for another day. It wasn't really that hard... they were served in a little cardboard basket, so I used the previous basket as a top for the one I smuggled out (you might be able to tell that I'm a Mechanical Engineer ;) ), and my housemate made sure they didn't spill while I drove home. And for the doubters, I have also been known to consume 1.0 pounds of pasta in a sitting, as well as a disc of beer (4.5 to 5 beers total) in 1:09. But the real reason for all the room in belly is that I drink a ton of water -- typically five quarts a day during the season. (I play ultimate frisbee... it's not too popular in WNY yet...) Curious... anyone else on here play ultimate?
