Ugh.. that seems too much. I'm also not particularly high on Bogosian. Cap hits: http://stats.nhlnumbers.com/teams/WPG?year=2015 Kane 5.25M for three more years (2018) Bogosian 5.143M for four more years (2019)

Add in Moulson and McEichel in addition to Kane and Samson for top-six.

Is this the right place for this? https://twitter.com/DarrenDreger/status/565523523511537664Dreger:

Geez... just looking at the Points column versus the Maximum Possible Points column.... makes it seems like it's such a long way to go. 27 games.... Two months from today it'll all be over.

Have you ever been to King of Donair?? http://www.kingofdonair.ca/

Not sure we've heard any comments from GMTM regarding July 2019 yet........

Hey maybe this is a good spot for me to ask this.... I thought buyouts no longer existed? Teams had two buyouts after the last "lockout", to use either last offseason or the one before it.... no?
-
Haha yup except for Jokipakka. Trade for him. My thoughts exactly. And yeah we can re-sign him after the season I guess, like inky said, although y'all seem more fond of him than I am.
-
Yeah I guess Neuvy is on the bench tonight. Also it looks like Halak sat tonight, so I'm assuming he's in vs the 'bres on Sunday.

Awesome, thanks for sharing! Also... this thread is the worst... y'all just posting how many times you tried the thing, haha.

I just realized that the little half-circle arrow, which you click on in a quote in order to jump to that quoted post, is now on the far right rather than the far left (next to the poster's name). I thought that it was just missing (here and at TBD), but just found it. Anyway, I guess it makes sense.... because the MultiQuote and Quote buttons are over on the right side? I'll get used to it. I just wondered if anyone had strong opinions about putting it back on the left side. Also if anyone, like me, just thought it had gone missing, maybe this helps :) Thanks, as always, Scott!

GDT: Sabres at Montreal 2-3-2015 7:30 PM EST MSG, WGR
Cereal replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Sabres beat the Habs on back-to-back nights over Thanksgiving weekend. I benched the red-hot Carey Price this week in fantasy (in favor of Halak and Holtby...) because I am so scared of the Sabres beating him :D Can't wait for this trainwreck season to finish... It's really messing with my brains. Let's go, Sabres. -
whoops.. Winnipeg's

I watched the Jets lose to the Stars tonight. My comment is that it was very refreshing that their announcers were so non-homer and knowledgeable about the opposing team and the rest of the West. Also, that Mathieu Perreault is so so greasy (and awesome).

Eulers down 2-nothing now, halfway through the first period.

Ha! Reinforcements!

I don't think the new font helps anything... I am certain that I'll get used to it, but simpler the better with the font. Everything else looks cleaner though!

Hmmm interesting, so per the D&C article: Edmonton's OKC is closing operations, moving to Bakersfield, CA. LA Kings: Manchester to Ontario, CA. Anaheim is buying Norfolk's team, relocating it, probably to San Diego. Sharks moving the Worcester team to... it looks like San Jose. Calgary's Glen Falls team will relocate to Stockton, CA. Also: Colorado looking to relocate the Cleveland team in the next three years. Arizona desperate to move from Portland, Maine to the West as well. Interesting stuff. So, assuming all seven of the above happen..... plus St. Johns eventually moving to Thunder Bay... that leaves 15 teams in the eastern time zone: 14 northeast teams (left over from current Eastern Conference plus Western-North (Amerks') division) 1 more eastern team... Charlotte Checkers "stranded" down there 6 midwest teams (Manitoba + Milwaukee, Chicago, Rockford, Grand Rapids (yes I know they're eastern time zone), Iowa....) 5 California teams mentioned above 2 other west teams in ??? (Colorado and Arizona as above) Two Texas teams "stranded" (Austin and San Antonio) Are there any other teams that are on the move? This news seems almost entirely driven with the mobility between NHL and AHL teams in mind. Also, I am glad shifting like this didn't occur a few years ago, prior to Pegula re-solidifying the Amerks-Sabres affiliation.

i was thinking about it this way earlier: The two expansion teams each add 9 "NHL-caliber" forwards (3 lines), 4 "NHL-caliber" defensemen (2 lines), and 2 "NHL-cailber" goalies.... That is 15 players per team, and 30 total players "diluted" from the 30 existing teams. Or one player per team. So.... that doesn't seem that bad, does it...?

I finally got to see the Amerks claim victory down here in Austin TX, as they won 6-5 over the Stars on a late Larsson goal. I am baffled that there were so many goals scored... although poor goaltending by the Stars, goalie pulled after the 'merks' fifth goal, I think. Makarov with the win, but at least three of his 5 goals were incredible plays by Texas. Some absolutely brutal neutral zone passing from the 'merks. Catenacci was not confident with the puck. Larsson with a very undisciplined penalty late in the third to allow Texas to te it at 5 on the PP. Defense slow to react around our own net, countless times, especially on a few of those Texas goals. Ruhwedel especially looked lost, haha. Schaller looked great with the puck. Pysyk looked great, physical. Samuels-Thomas tries really hard, he's a worker. Grigorenko didn't stand out.

One memory that sticks out in my mind, for some reason, is when the puck deflected really high straight up in the air.... Dom was looking around trying to find it.... it finally comes down, deflects off the back of his head and into the goal. Aside from that, one time when I was ~10 years old, my dad had a goalie stick signed by Steve Shields. He painted over his autograph so I could get it signed by Hasek at an offseason signing I went to with my uncle.... but I never ended up getting it, haha!
