  1. If Stamkos continues to be a 30 goal scorer. then we could find possibly 2 of those for 10 million that's the 10 million dollar question
  2. I agree 10 mil per season can bring in some gritty players that can help this team. We have scorers that will come of age we need defense, and some left handed wingers. If he wants ot win championships for a few years then he should take a little less and not need to be a captain. Or the #1 center He turned down a 8.5 mil per seaosn deal so... obviously he is not going lower than that. He'll get $10 from someone.. but that's a lot of pigeon tied up into a player who has declined a little since his 50 goal seasons. We can get 2 really good gritty players a winger and a defense man for that scratch and still have coin to burn. Stamkos would have to start scoring 40 every year to begin to justify that contract.. and 50 is expected from the highest paid player int he NHL
  3. writes itself .. LOL
  4. Robert Goulet
  5. $2 billion stadium near the Pennsylvania boarder. Got to love it
  6. they're no a majority in fact a very small minority and like you said are overly vocal for bizarre reasoning. How can anyone not like what his team is becoming. I haven't been this excited for Sabres Hockey since the Briere Drury years. I'm extremely excited for this franchises near future
  7. You want to make an omelet, you got to break a few eggs... I'll praise Murray.. I really like the way the team is shaping up.
  8. Give him some time to learn the speed of the NHL game and learn how to use his size better while gaining some weight . He was late bloomer and is really still learning how to use his size
  9. http://www.sbncollegehockey.com/2016/3/22/11279636/minnesota-states-casey-nelson-signs-with-buffalo-sabres Was reading this write up about him. he was only 5'6" in Highschool and wasn't his full size till college (he's listed as 6'2"). So his finesse skills came from the fact that a small kid had no other choice but to depend on finesse to be effective, then he grew quickly. Yeah he definitely needs to catch up to his frame in regards to size, but I bet he'll be 10lbs of muscle stronger by next season. Very encouraged by our recent College FA signings
  10. Yeah its still a toss up given the injury history and small body of work, but he played well for us and you have to figure the team in front of him is going to improve greatly next year. From all the reports though he was a real leader on and off the ice too
  11. Interesting.. I thought he did way better than expected considering the injury and slow start to the season. I'm actually opposite, I think he surpassed overall expectations and looked like the answer to our starting goalie situation Clean up the ankle get him ready for next season was the right call
  12. Eichel Eichel All Day !!! follower 1007

    Tank 3.0

hard to go back that far and compare to the modern day NHL though.. Dramatically different leagues Leafs being the exception but there problem is they never really tanked till this year they were always trying to make magic happen without a real tank I do believe

    Tank 3.0

?? O'reilly comes to mind. Kane does to
  16. WTF .... don';t care how close of friends we are or linemates or team mates etc.. I'm not grabbing your junk
  17. Holy frustration. Took me about 50 tries before the Sabres won the lottery. Meanwhile New Jersey must of won it 10 times in that span
  18. I like them..
  19. yes I did just didn't say the things you want to hear There is seriously something wrong with posters at sabrespace who always resort to being offended and throwing temper tantrums I stated my opinion and I am fine with the move. Nothing more to discuss, and having a long 3 page debate about it would be more worthless that tits on a bull
  20. seriously ? offensive if this offended you, you probably need to get off the internet all together McGinn is a middle of the pack utility player. Not a player you over pay because you feel he could fit the future. In fact he is still a UFA this off-season and we can still offer him a contract, but now we have extra ammo to pick up one of the plethora of McGinn type players lots of playoff teams will be offloading. To me that is extremely intelligent GM'ing McGinn probably wanted ot test FA regardless so at least the Sabres got a pick for him while he does exactly that.
  21. Exactly... I see lots of people unable to see the bigger picture. There will be quite a Few Jamie McGinn's and then some available this offseason. Lots of teams pushed themselves up tight against the cap and are going to want draft picks to start filling the stables again. we will see some new vet faces for those draft picks
  22. If he can stay healthy he'll improve on his solid showing so far. He's obviously rusty from 2 years of dealing with injury. He has shown plenty and IMO will improve and get better along side of a team that will do the same around him
  23. 1 picture of a bar maid is interesting 1/2 dozen is stalking.
  24. LMAO None of this bothers me even in the slightest.
