  1. what non sense is this. We have an extremely young team in many areas. Many of our issues is the adjustment for young players to grasp the pro game... We are # 1 powerplay team with a bottom penalty kill.. Al we need ot fix is the penalty kill area alone for probably 10 more wins next season Defense wise we need 2 players in FA that can fill out top 4 roles. One of them being a top line player who can kill penalties Offense wise our 2 best scorers had injury issues this year.... Good chance both Eichel and Kane can net 40 next season.... Way to much over reaction from Sabres fans regarding how to improve this team.. Just typical for Buffalo fans these days....... Gutting this team would be beyond stupid
  2. Oh how I love the pessimistic attitude of Buffalonians.. Wallow in it, bathe in it, get it all over you. I bet it feels just wonderful or could be about future and gaining playing time. playoff teams today are rebuild teams tomorrow... For all the hatred fans throw against the Sabres we still have a very young and talented core and only need a few key pieces. We have a few older overpaid vets that will be purged in the not to distant future so there are potential lineup spots and playing time in the near future for these players having owners who wil commit to winning for better or for worse also speaks ot these players knowing they are not going to be hung out to dry.. there is obviously commitment to a championship in Buffalo (for better or for worse)
  3. I have 0 issues with the Pegulas Not easy righting this ship what has me laughing hysterically is the thought that all of our sports woes would be fixed easily and quickly when the Pegulas came into town. Finding the right GM or Coach has as much to do with who is available and who wants to come to a small market like Buffalo as it does actually making the choice to offer a job to sed person. We ended up with Blysma because that was the best of the rest at the time....... Not many other coaches with real experience and some measurable success available at that time, and hindsight is always 20/20 for Buffalo sports fans... So all this jumping up and down on GMTM for hiring him really confuses the hell out of me given the reality. Reading how if we don't find a top 2 defense man or 2 this off season means GMTM has to go is just a strange thing to think because more than likely the end decision on who is coming and who is not has just as much to do with personal choices of the player/agent. I fully expect an all out pursuit for defense man.. That's all I ask.. The end results will be up to player and out of anyones hands..... the Sabres and Pegulas will roll out the red carpet for any potential FA.... That is all they can do Were moving forward in both franchises and changes are being made often to continue to right the ship so not much else can be done but to stay a fan and watch wait and hope. Keep grinding those axes Buffalonians, you've got the sharpest ones in the shed. The overwhelming daily wade into negativity makes the day so much brighter...
  4. ridiculous poll
  5. He lets in to many soft goals and can't stop a shootout to save his own life. I don't see him as our long term answer...
  6. LMAO... way to much self worth tied up into a form of entertainment. Stop listening to WGR55 stop reading the BN blues
  7. Unless we get a mad return I would keep him.. He's a pesky richard
  8. I no longer pay any attention at all to the Buffalo News sports section. all they ever do is grind ax's
  9. outside of shootouts I don't think Goal-tending is our highest concern injuries and lack of goal scoring is
  10. It is very exciting to see such an immediate impact.. I felt his return would spark us but its surpassing expectations..
  11. Kulikov will be retained IMO. You can't let a top D man walk... They'll find a way
  12. 3 points on a 3 game west coast run this early in the season... I'll wait till December to start criticizing players or coaches by then we will have a good amount of games and situations to pull our data and make a hypothesis
  13. I agree on the cherry rebounds.. Noticed a few of the GA are from phat rebounds
  14. 2 road games out west and 3 points.. That's a plus.. Hopefully they can nab 2 more tomorrow in Vancouver.. that would be a sweet west coast run for this franchise. Complaints... to early for me
  15. He went down low with his stick. If he makes himself tall and hugs the post there is no upper shelf shot IMO... but after watching the replay flames had the open pass as well so i guess I can retract that OT goal as a softie and place blame on our 3 on 3 patheticness. It was late and I was half asleep watching the last period
  16. ... DD is going NOWHERE.. huge over reaction at this point..
  17. I agree with the OT it was a weird play with the retreat and set up.. which only got us trapped in our own zone. Lehner let in 2 softies I thought. He left the short side open on the tying goal and then made himself small instead of tall and left the top shelf wide open on the OT goal Overall we just couldn't set up well in the offense zone. and a bunch of the team look a little flat footed to me
  18. This team is light years ahead of where it was when he took over IMO.. Personally I am very excited Tim is resigned... I have great faith in Tim to get us to the promise land... In fact I can safely say I haven't been this excited for Hockey in well over a decade, and it has a lot to do with Mr.Tim This statement is ludicrous
  19. I need a woman 'bout twice my age A lady of nobility, gentility and rage Splendor in the dark, lightning on the draw We'll go right through the book and break each and every law. I got a feeling and it won't go away, oh no Just one thing then I'll be OK I need a miracle every day.
  20. I guess winning out West means we also put that on DD
  21. I dont think anyone has any good info about these injuries.. I'm concerned now that O'Reilly is dinged
  22. Add in inflation to that. In 20 years that's going to be close to poverty levels. 5k today won't go anywhere's near as far in 15 20 years
  23. I'm almost 48 with about $220k saved in 401, about 8k in bonds, and 2 ira's with about 20k a piece in them. I also have 16 years of pension which is now capped (mutherf%$^Rs). thios is both mine and my wifes portfolio minus our house which will bring us a nice chunk when ready to sell All I can say is I'm nervous and stressed about retirement. Its the medical costs that will keep every single one of us from being able to retire semi-early .. AND NO IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ACA and EVERYTHING TO DO WITH INSURANCE GREED/WALLSTREET GREED
  24. Me too.. Very disappointed this thread has been Pu Pu'd
