Man has a point. Not sure if it's in transition but the off-topic tags (for me) are currently grey with blue text, which is higher contrast.

That works - it's closer to the color of the "recently updated" block above the list of threads. ;)

Always after me Lucky Charms. A bit light, but not obnoxiously so. Darker would be fine as well.

Yellow stars now... better than the red, IMO.
-
I'm not a huge fan of the red star, either (I feel like the fact that it was already a star vs. a circle was a sufficient visual indicator), but I can get used to it.

Like this? Works for me...

Lol I get the idea of wanting to hire local people where possible for these things (and in general I think it's a great idea), but in this case the criticism is a bit unfair since it wasn't their call. I think Jo's rendition would've been better, though. Edit: I should clarify that I don't think local people should automatically get the gig; just that if there's a qualified person who is local, they should be considered. Whether or not they are selected based on any number of project criteria should depend on the strength of their proposal, just like anyone else.

I know, and honestly I didn't have a ton of interest in watching, but I would've at least had it on in the background. How does the NHL expect to broaden their fan base when they keep playing on high-tier niche channels? Exactly; lots of people might've watched that game for lack of competition from other sporting events, but given the channel chosen it wasn't even an option for a huge number of us.

I'm so annoyed this game is on NBCSN rather than regular NBC. There's a gaping hole today as far as sports with no football on, and we're watching the freaking Sunday evening news. Ugh.

Chocolate chip cranberry pave bread. Under normal circumstances I'd be happy with my selection, but considering it was next to loaves of olive bread and I thought I'd grabbed one of those, it's terribly dissapointing.

Except it says in this article that the Sabres didn't select the artist; Dom did. They'd submitted one from a local guy and Dom chose a different submission. http://www.buffalonews.com/columns/colin-dabkowski/art-community-urges-sabres-to-go-local-20150125

GoPro Camera & NHL Deal (Hey not about tank)

Could be fun from time to time, but if it makes the helmet heavy and awkward (as Z says in the article below) I think they'll have a hard time getting the players to buy-in: http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/sabres-nhl/all-star-notebook-girgensons-wins-race-in-skills-event-20150123 -
Dude... get yourself some Nicorette or something! lol

It's mostly man-made around here, but we got a couple inches Wed. night and more last night. :) So what use are you thinking for the Q&A Forum? Seems most likely to lend itself to triva-type questions but not sure.

lol working on a Saturday evening, unfortunately, but got out snowboarding last night so it's all good. :)

Good on ya, man. It's not gonna be easy, but it'll be worth it. Invest in your replacement of choice (gum, hard candy, etc) and continue to fight the good fight!

New complaint: I hate how so many websites now have the default setting when logging in to "keep me logged in". I should be able to opt-IN if I want that, not have to remember to opt-OUT if I don't.

Glad you're recovering (and the little old lady is, too)! Does not sound fun at all.

Hey Jo -- how's your noggin after last week?
-
Thing is, even if it's an undesirable route, someone is assigned to it. So there really shouldn't be any valid arguments from their side about "well, no one wants to do it" because it's someone's JOB to do it, whether they like it or not! There are plenty of people out there who wish they had a job, so why can't they fire that a$$hole and hire someone who actually wants to work? Hadn't heard about the postal banking thing before... how would that work? This.

Good point.

That's what I was going to say... heck, even $35-40K is scraping by for a single person with significant educational loans.
