  1. How'd you manage that one? Must be different emails (or you and the gf). I cast my 50 today; d4rk is right that it's really easy!
  2. Wow. Not surprised that it happened, but This. Am I the only one who gets a juvenile chuckle out of this username? Great avatar, though. Best of luck, Teddy... you're probably going back to Latvia, but at least you had another kick at the can here.
  3. Good to know, and you're probably right about any fan response after the game was over. Would've been nice if there'd have been an in-game opportunity, but as others have said, a fitting end to the season.
  4. Too much other stress in my life right now, and this place had become another stressor rather than an escape. Glad to have the tank over with so SS can return to being an enjoyable distraction. Edit: Meant to thank Brawndo earlier for the nod.
  5. I really wanted them to score one so the players could hear the fans cheering for them again.
  6. I didn't mean to imply they aren't locked now; I'm suggesting both undergrad and grad loans should be locked at a similarly low rate (and not one subject to the capriciousness of Congress). And I'd agree with you that I wish further borrowing weren't the answer, but as long as the high cost of education renders it necessary, I think giving people the option to borrow more of those funds at a low, fixed rate would be far better than leaving students and families at the mercy of banks for private loans. I love your idea, even if the skeptic in me thinks it has little chance of happening.
  7. I hope not on Kaleta, but you might be right. :(
  8. Yes I should've specified graduate loans, although they recently (last summer?) had to pass a last-minute fix to keep undergrad loans from jumping to the same rate (6.8%) as grad loans, correct? And I would argue that if all Stafford loans were locked at a low rate and the borrowing limits were raised such that predatory private loans were less necessary, the Stafford loans would be less likely to fall into default, which benefits all parties.
  9. Boston and Tampa tied at 1 after the 2nd.
  10.
  11. Blargh. 2-0 Pens. Almost looked like Gionta put that in, but bad coverage.
  12. Come on, Sabres... just one goal.
  13. I already receive plenty of their catalogs in the mail. ;)
  14. You're right that the loans are technically unsecured, but federal student loans fall into a sort of grey area because the gov't has additional measures available to recoup those payments, even if someone defaults. I had a friend who decided to ignore her student loans after dropping out of college years ago, and she was most disappointed to find later on that they garnished her IRS refund as payment. The rates shouldn't be as low as fully collateralized loans, but I don't think it's unreasonable to push for them to be more like 2-4% vs almost 7%.
  15. And here I was expecting pictures of lingerie models.
  16. Ugh. There better be a lotta Pens fans at FNC... sounds like an away game.
  17. Scary face-first run into the end boards by the Pens player. Lindback making it look easy tonight.
  18. Dammit; I was looking for something to drown out my horrible neighbor's incessant monologue after the Sabres game, and settled on a show I'd never heard of on Hulu called "Eye Candy". Four episodes later I am forcing myself to stop binge-watching out of obsession since I need to work tomorrow.
