I was also really angry about the Kane trade at the time. Jury is still kind of out on that one, but I no longer view it in such harsh light. -
Not sure if this was posted already: https://archive.org/details/historicalsoftware

I was really mad when Tim Kennedy was cut. -
THIS. I can't wait to be a renter again.

That is hysterical!!

Eeew, lol. Still like the glitter idea, though. ;)

Oof, Jo. Freaking Terminix. When my inspector drew up the paperwork a month ago it was for $2460 financed after an $8 deposit and a $500 discount. I gave them a check for $8 at the time of treatment and it has been cashed, and received confirmation of the $2460 being financed. Couple weeks after I received an invoice in the mail saying I owed them $500 due 5/25. Called the inspector and told him there's been a billing error, he agreed that wasn't right and said he'd called the billing person and have it fixed. The billing guy only today left a voicemail, and he's saying there was an error and they were supposed to collect $508 as the deposit and I owe the invoice. The inspector clearly made some kind of mistake when setting up the original invoice and didn't clearly explain the issue to the billing guy to have it fixed. I'm going to be furious if this shows up on my credit report as past due after contacting them repeatedly to have it fixed.

I like this idea as well. For inclusion items: - a list of the mods - suggestions on when to (or not to) start a new thread? - maybe a quick overview of the regular threads and their purposes (GDTs, trade deadline, free agency, etc)?
-
They're really off until Sat. night? I guess there must've been an arena conflict Fri. night.
-
Regular NBC with no issues here.

Well now that Eleven, er... showed you his....
-
Wow... Swamp and Eleven called it.

There's a good mix of bourbon and scotch recommendations, depending on your fancy. It's much easier to find cheap good bourbon than cheap good scotch, but Dewars and Monkey Shoulder are inexpensive scotches if you're so inclined. Happy reading!

There's a beer thread if you really do favor Coors Light; we don't judge.

Should be able to find most of those; 3 are from the same distillery as Evan Williams! ;) Absolutely. I feel pretty proud of this one and how it took on a life of its own (largely due to the participation by afficionados such as yourself). Hard to believe it's been going 4+ years![\quote] Edit: don't listen to me... only EC is from Heaven Hill. All Kentucky, though. Sorry for edits, too much whiskey for bio this evening.
-
Sure thing! Weller and B Trace are the cheapest of those 4, but EC and ER are both excellent for the price.
-
I'm echoing earlier posts, but it bears repeating: even on a college budget, Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, and Elijah Craig 12 are all worthy of consideration. Edit: almost forgot WL Weller!
-
I'd heard of it a while back, but didn't feel compelled to seek it out until Eleven's bartender friend had concocted some manner of (reportedly) tasty whiskey beverage with it. Having said that, I now realize I've forgotten to look back at the recipe to try it for myself! D'oh. Found it in the eating/drinking thread: http://forums.sabrespace.com/topic/20900-what-are-you-eating-or-drinking/?p=662431

Bump for The Dominator. Having Larceny with Domaine de Canton over ice myself.

I love this imagery so, so much. Weave beat me to it, and good man.

And a hearty welcome to the noobs and lurkers who've started to come out of the shadows! Please stick around; this place is (usually) great.

This describes me pretty well, too. I forget when I originally joined, but I almost exclusively lurked for the first couple of years before I started posting regularly. Even now I may not post as often (especially with the team being what it was the last two years) and more in the OT threads, but I still read almost daily and enjoy learning from everyone here about news, insight into players and coaches, etc. Good stuff all around. I usually add a few hyphens to separate posts I didn't intend to go together, like this: --------------- I think that or an extra couple line spaces help make it clear the posts are unrelated. I do like the merging in GDTs when the posts more often are just running commentary on the game itself. Absolutely.
