Home today having some work done on the house. The contractor is making a terrific racket in my basement and it brings me sick joy to know it's probably pissing off my horrible neighbor.

Can we trade them back Detroit? :)

 I saw that, too. Whoa, buddy; as far as I know, you're the only one calling her a hero. The point is that there are passionate and avid hockey fans in Arizona, since so many here like to ridicule and sh!t on the Coyotes. If the arena and ownership issues could ever be resolved there are already people there who would support the team and they might have a shot at expanding that fan base.

Interesting. I love the idea that ownership could use the out clause to "relocate" to Phoenix proper. Better chance at survival and a poke in the eye to the Glendale council.
-
Well at least one Coyote fan is pissed off (no one I know):

 What, my avatar isn't #distractinglysexy? Maybe that's the chemical formula for lady tears.

Those memes are great. And I said it on FB, but Tim Hunt is in dire need of a nose hair trimmer.

Yeah that would be expect in DC, Boston, or even parts of CA, but Denver?? When I originally looked at cost of living data it was only slightly higher than central PA, but either those data are from a few years ago or based on unsafe parts of the city. :(

EXACTLY.

Eesh, Jo. Good luck with the job search (know plenty of that myself!)! Still waiting to hear back from both places on a firm job offer. Yesterday I had to be at work at 3am to help our grad student with an experiment so we could fit into the availability for the instrument owned by another lab. (The assay takes around 8 hours to run before getting to the read step requiring said instrument and they needed us to be at that step by 10am.) Grad student came in at 2am, I came in at 3am, and we managed to get through everything before either of us got loopy or messed something up. At least we both got to see a nice sunrise and went home around noon, but I was awake from 1:30am through 10:30pm yesterday. I'm too old for this! Denver area. Apparently housing has gotten way out of control the last two years because it used to be quite affordable... she was telling me about a friend of hers with a $225,000 2 BR condo that they had to take off the market after the meth lab next door caught fire and caused damage to their property. A one BR condo in an area she said was safe is over $1400/month.

 Kruppstahl's family owns a McDonald's franchise. To his immortal shame, he can never admit to them that: 1) he has a bizarre attraction to Grimace, and 2) he prefers Arby's.

I never would have expected so much reasonable discourse on theology from a guy who goes by Drunkard. Good stuff, man. :worthy:

Some interesting stuff here on the McKinney situation... while I certainly don't condone the officer's reaction, it looks like there's a lot more to this story than was being reported initially. http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2015/06/08/the-full-story-of-the-mckinney-texas-pool-mob-inside-the-craig-ranch-subdivision/ (Lots of blame to go around.)

What an idiot (Lazarus, not you). Thank goodness this has little to no chance of happening.

:D

Fixed that for you.

The science nerd in me is trying to figure out whether you need something basic to neutralize the burn (soak your hands in milk?) or something oil-based to remove the capsaicin (like dissolves like).

Well that got weird.
