Bio's got a new ride! The little Fit had served me very well as a commuter car on the East coast, but in Colorado it's less useful, even with snow tires. Managed to get a lease for a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek for about the same as I was paying on the loan for the Fit. :)

I don't / haven't... I have a hard enough time keeping up on the Sabres these days, and sometimes I share my account with my mom so I only watch every so often. But I do enjoy watching them, and like you, I see some parallels with the Sabres. Domi and OEL are fun to watch.

My man. (Don't tell Eleven; he'll never believe there are two of us now!)

I think it's entirely new material (with the same characters), but I'm not 100% sure. It's so good... I started reading again Sat. night when I was about 1/3 of the way through, and ended up getting sucked into the story and binge-reading to finish the book around 1:45am, lol. I can't get enough of those characters!
-
Sometime they're genuine and sometimes they're the mercy dad-joke laugh. This one was the former, though. ;)

Yeah, I feel like a bit of a hypocrite saying I hate it when I haven't tried it (I've tried to get better about that as I get older)... it just smells so darn nasty. And I don't think I've ever seen anything other than the canned stuff, so perhaps homemade stuff isn't as terrible. Does it still smell like  ?
-
Maybe it's because I wasn't a PA native, but I despise sauerkraut! I can't get past the smell to even consider tasting the stuff. Blech!

Was looking for a pork recipe to do in the slow cooker yesterday since it seems to be the unofficial meat of New Year's (maybe a PA thing), and found one in a cookbook I had. Super easy: combine one can of whole berry cranberry sauce with a packet of onion soup mix, then spread over a 2-3 lb pork roast and cook 8-9 hrs on low. Surprisingly tasty and low effort!

Great clip, haha. The football analogy is apt, too.

The Girl in the Spider's Web, by David Lagercrantz (a continuation of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series by a new author). Still early in the book to see if it's worthy of Larsson's legacy, but so far, so good. I love these characters.

Interesting. Hearing someone else (wjag?) describe it as eggy makes me think it's not far off, especially if you forgo the sugar crust (Neo's looked more like dessert). I've never made Yorkshire pudding, but my mom used to on occasion and I always liked it. Cringing a bit at the idea of using whole milk, though. I've had ligonberry and I agree, it's a nice change of pace.

This looks so much like Yorkshire pudding, but it's sweet? Very curious...

Didn't they say at some point that the First Order already had the rest of the map (just like the resistance)? So he only needed the piece that Rey was shown by BB8. -
Jeebus, man... stay safe!!

I think I've done something similar with a pork roast in the slow cooker before, and it's one of those easy and delicious meals I never think to make. I'm so terrible about planning meals in advance and getting groceries with a recipe in mind vs. just random stuff that sounds good or is on sale.
-
Gat damn, that looks good.

Angel's Envy is freaking delicious. The first (and thus far, only) time I tried it, I ended up having 3 glasses neat. So, so good.

I'll be in section 304 (I think)! -
Winter Park. Snow was good, but the mountain was confusing to navigate! Probably going to Copper Mtn tomorrow or Sunday since I liked that one better.
-
 It was COLD in the mountains yesterday (single digits to low teens), but I'll still take it because I can't snowboard on mud! My dad said it's 68 and raining today in Delaware (yuck!).
-
Merry Christmas, SabreSpace! Spending today by myself, but it's a white one here in Denver, I went snowboarding yesterday with some new friends, and I'll get to relax at home today while talking to various loved ones by phone. Not too shabby. Best wishes to all of you!
