Tried making spaghetti squash for the first time tonight. I've resisted the hype because I love me some carbs and found it obnoxious that people were using it for Atkins-type reasons, but I finally got curious enough to give it a whirl after seeing a recipe for spaghetti squash lo mein. I roasted the squash in the oven before combining with the other veggies and sauce, and was thoroughly amused by the fact that it does actually look like noodles after cooking. The flavor is definitely different from pasta, but it's a nice change of pace, and the roasting brought out more flavor. An interesting and tasty way to make me eat more veggies, although I doubt it's something I'll make on a weekly basis.

The charging is insanely fast on the 5x! Huh; I thought your avatar was from The Stand? I've been meaning to read the Dark Tower series forever, and I have no excuse since my dad gave me his copies; just haven't made time. Definitely need to before the movie comes out! I'm intrigued since I've heard there's some crossover with The Talisman and The Black House, which I loved.

I consider dollar coins as similarly not useful, but maybe just me. And it could also be because I keep coins in my wallet vs. pockets, so the extra weight / space in the coin compartment is maybe more noticeable? Anyhow, I think I'd have been equally annoyed getting 15 quarters back as I was with 15 dollar coins solely based on the weight / bulk.

Honestly? I could be biased just because I dislike the weight of coins vs. paper, and I know the paper dollar is a losing proposition for the government, but why couldn't they make a dollar coin like, oh, I dunno, the old Eisenhower dollar coin we already had before? At least with the Sacagawea coins there's a color difference (unlike the Susan B Anthony version), but it's still the same size as a quarter, which is stupid.

I'd say no for the purposes of this argument (my feelings on cake are restricted to the spongy type and not simply cake-shaped desserts), but I'm sure others will disagree.

I couldn't even bring myself to watch the highlights after reading the quotes. Just awful. I feel bad for the non-Trump supporters who want a decent candidate on the R side, because there is none.

Yeah, every now and again I've had a "good" cake (carrot cake is the only acceptable use for carrots, IMO), and coffee cake I do like sometimes, but overall I feel pretty meh on the category and prefer other baked goods.
