And stay near a bathroom... the anesthesia has a tendency to make you sick. I made the mistake of having red Italian ice as my first post-surgery meal.

Possibly... I already have a mini-brewer that I keep at work, so it'll be tough to justify purchasing a third brewer unless the one I have now breaks, haha.

Online, normally through the Keurig website. I've ordered from Amazon a bunch of times because it's a little cheaper, but the selection isn't as good and their packaging stinks (I've gotten huge outer boxes with grossly insufficient packing material and loose grounds rolling around in there). Plus if you go through Keurig you get 10-15% off every box and free shipping with orders of 4+ boxes, and you accumulate points with every order as well. I have enough points now that I could get 50% off a new / 2nd brewer if I wanted to.

LOL I forgive the blatent misspelling since it's so freakin funny. He's my mom's and brother's favorite player. By strange coincidence, we ended up sitting right behind his parents/grandparents when I was up for the game in November against the Coyotes.

Seconded!

I'm with you, Chz -- I got one several years ago because I live alone and just brew one cup to take with me on the way to work, so it's not worth the time and cleanup to make a full pot. (That, and I somehow always overestimate how much ground coffee to use and end up with stuff that tastes awful.) Most of the varieties I get work out to around 50-55 cents a cup, which is more expensive than brewing a pot but still far less than Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc. And I like the variety as well. I generally only do coffee, but I buy four boxes at a time and get different brands and brew strengths so I can pick something that suits me and still have things my dad will drink when he comes to visit. I love that thing. Edit: Hmm, maybe this should be in the "Things That are Awesome" thread, lol.

Fell asleep on the couch listening to the postgame and only just "going" to bed. Today is gonna hurt. Good luck with the teeth, Liger... I had the same thing several years ago (2 simple and 2 surgical extractions) and it wasn't bad after you get through the first day. Be sure to follow the post-op instructions well to avoid dry socket and plan on eating soft food requiring little chewing for a good week after. I took it as a good excuse to have ice cream and milkshakes (but not the first day or you'll get sick!). :)

Not a bad idea!

Haha -- well, to be fair he was drinking scotch (Oban, mostly) before I ever tried it, and would normally do a Bloody Mary on Sundays but is favoring the mimosas after we had the blood orange ones the other week.

Almost forgot about my tasty brunch yesterday: crab and spinach omelet sweet potato pancakes fruit compote home fry patties green tea martini for me, mimosa for the bf Good stuff.

One-Minute Chocolate Cake Just found this blog earlier today and been obsessively reading recipes and planning my grocery list ever since. Especially digging the breakfast ideas, like Peanut Butter Breakfast Pudding and her various baked oatmeal recipes.

Lol I must be out of practice. *cue Eye of the Tiger*

How are you still coherent, man? Lol

Nice - definitely a forgotten candy there. I'll eat all but the licorice favored ones, but prefer the all chocolate pack. :)

Conversation hearts candy. I know, they're like sugar-flavored chalk, but for whatever reason I look forward to them every year (especially the week after V-day when they're on clearance, lol).

Sore No More Natural Pain Relieving Gels Read about these a few weeks back in a blog on post-snowboarding soreness and decided to order a few of the sample packets each of the warm therapy and cool therapy gels. This past Sunday I re-injured my knee after falling on some hard packed snow / ice (and it hadn't fully healed from the last time) and was limping pretty badly on the way back to the car and after I got home. I decided to try the cool therapy gel and diligently applied 3-4 times per day for the first few days, then switched to the warm therapy gel the last few days. They really do help lessen the pain (especially the cooling one), and although my knee still isn't 100%, I'm amazed that it looks as though I won't end up with any bruising. I bruise pretty easily and had a wicked purple and green mark for a while after the last time, but it's been four days and so far no bruise in sight. Bonus: the gels are made in the USA and are cruelty-free. Cheap, too! Each of the sample packs have been 4 applications, and at $0.60 per packet, that alone is pretty awesome.

Good grief; medical school doesn't cost that much!! This doesn't apply to you / her just yet, but may be of interest in the near future: interest rates on federal Stafford loans set to double in July and a petition to Congress to keep that from happening Frustrating for me that this apparently only applies to undergraduate loans (my graduate Stafford loans are already 6.8%), but hopefully they can at least help out the college kids and their parents. IMO they really need to up the borrowing limits, too, since they haven't even come close to keeping pace with actual need.

My complaint: yesterday I had a perfect story for the WTF Wednesday thread, and I don't think it was ever unlocked. :( So the story goes: Driving in to work, and I'm waiting at a stop light. It's a four lane road with a separate left turning lane in each direction, and I'm in the left lane (not turning). The light changes, and some fool in the right lane slowly drives into the intersection with their left turn signal on. I'm trying to figure out why they'd need to move over then since there's no truck or anything like that blocking their lane, and once they get in front of me they proceed to sit in the middle of the intersection with their signal on so they can merge with the left-turning traffic yet another lane over. On top of that, they could have easily pulled into the corner gas station on their side of the intersection and come back out facing the way they wanted to go without disrupting traffic. WTF?

Sounds like another entry for the "things that are not soft" thread.

Nice. I may have to give that a try!

Nicely done.

You guys are all putting me to shame. I was an avid reader all the way up until college, but between school/work, having 2 jobs for years, and then more school/work, I've had so little free time for reading. :( When I go on vacation I tend to finish (or nearly finish) a book between the outbound and return flights, but vacations are as rare as free time. And I'm afraid my selections are much less sophisticated than most mentioned here, since I primarily stick to sci-fi / fantasy and horror.

That sounds really good! Did you just sub chicken for beef and add hot sauce? I've had white chicken chili but I'm guessing that's not what you went for.
