Hope everything is okay, man. He's baaaack... Yikes, good luck with that... hopefully you've caught on early enough that you can cancel cards and the like before any more fraudulent charges post. That's awful! And now mine seems so trivial, but... Ehrhoff.

Cheers to that! Having some Buffalo Trace in honor of the day and the game tonight. :)

Nice! Hopefully you're next!

Absolutely!

Hopefully that means they didn't find any surprises... glad to hear the surgery was successful and wishing her dad a full recovery. Gotta cut the grass tonight. In the summer that might be a complaint, but I always look forward to the first time in the spring when I can break out the mower. I don't think I've ever had to do it this early in the year!

lol too much! That's shades of EpicMealTime.

lol well that one is the opposite problem from the others... I hate when people cook bacon at work because it makes me not want my lunch! We had an office lady here for a short while who was living out of a hotel and would cook something with bacon in the office kitchen every morning. It was torture.
-
lol agreed (says someone guilty of this herself  )

That's weird; I never thought of canned green beans as having a strong smell when cooked. Could be worse, man... steamed broccoli or cauliflower, burnt popcorn, and bacon all come to mind.

Eating some blood orange Chobani yogurt with lunch, and although the flavor is good, the texture of lots of tiny orange bits makes it feel like I'm eating yogurt that has curdled.

:o

She is fortunate to have both you and her friend. Good luck, man...

Yikes, man... I hope her dad has a successful operation and that you guys get some good news later today. She's gonna need you more than ever right now (even if she's afraid to admit it).

I've never had this, but both people I know that have tried it did so with the mistaken impression that they were consuming Nutella, which most certainly influenced their feelings on the subject.

I'll admit during the SO I said Foligno should go, but that was more out of curiosity and probably after 5 or 6 other guys had already tried, so we were in "why not?" territory. But I agree with Robviously... His goals so far have been of the lunch pail variety and I'm not sure that means anything compared to a breakaway shootout attempt.

I'm sure they left some things out to stay within a reasonable length, but I saw the movie a few weeks back in the theater and it was fantastic. I think it's on DirecTV cinema now, if you're interested. That's a series I would very much like to read when I have more free time.

Ah, ok! I was wondering about that. Reminds me of this humorous lesson regarding the comma: http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/oxford-comma?before=1317272988

Orange sausage? Sounds intriguing. Smoked duck is some tasty stuff, too. There was a place around here that sold duck prosciutto, but they had a fire back in December so we haven't been able to get it lately. :( And agreed on CCK, haha... I have no intentions of going vegan, but I love me some dessert so if there's a healthier and/or easier way to make something, I'm all for it. The single portion recipes are also great for people who live alone (I can't be trusted with an entire cake!).

Peanut butter breakfast pudding: http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2012/02/01/peanut-butter-breakfast-pudding/ So good, it almost makes up for the fact that my dog woke me up 3 times this morning.

Homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream. Festive, and totally worth the trip to the store for peppermint extrract. Let the weekend of green food and drink begin!

Made my annual pilgrimage to McDonald's tonight for a Shamrock Shake. :D

Sounds like it was a rough night / morning for a lot of us. Tues night / Wed morning I woke up at 4am after my dog pooped on the bed. (Fortunately he hadn't tracked it so cleanup was quick and I could go back to bed.) Here's how this morning went: - Woke up about 50 min. before my alarm clock after he'd pooped on the bed and tracked it around. - Take him outside to finish giong, go back upstairs to clean up and take the blanket off the bed. - Go back to get him from outside, realize he has poop mashed all around his one foot pad, and put him in the tub to clean it. - Take him out of the tub to check said foot. I still smell poop, but his feet look clean so I dry him off and set him down. - I get up and start walking, then realize he must have pooped while I was holding him to dry him off, because I now have poop smashed into my sandal and bath mat. Awesome.

Never heard of that before... I wonder if there's a spike in gout symptoms every year in late November / early December (asks the science geek)?

Made a roast in the slow cooker over the weekend, so now I get to enjoy shredded beef sandwiches all week. Mmmm.

Another edition of tasty brunch for me. Between the bf and I, we had: bagel with cream cheese omelet topped with smoked salmon and a sour cream and chive sauce buttermilk pancakes topped with Grand Marnier-flavored mascarpone and candied kumquats acai, pomegranate, guava, and red grapefruit mimosas (and then a long nap) If only I loved exercising as much as I love brunch...
