Christian Ehrhoff bought out; Signs with PIT, 1yr $4M

Lol you sir, have far too much free time on your hands, but :clapping: -
Especially when it's player names. Loved when SDS had the filter autocorrect misspellings of Pominville to Pommenstein, lol. (And it's Myers, not Meyers!!)
-
You could be right, although the poll said that category only covers 12% of the public, which seems far too low.

Ahhh, thank you. Knew I was missing something obvious. And Taro, you're probably right... it just kind of sucks they couldn't find some way to get something (anything) back for him. But GMTM is the man with a plan, so hopefully he's got something up his sleeves for the coming week. And thanks to you as well. :) -

Stupid question: what's SC? -

This. I would have rather seen them trade him for something in return at the deadline than just get nothing back for a very good player. Maybe GMTM really did want to send a message ("If you don't want to be here, you can GTFO."). -
Ha - me, too! I don't think the general description of that group fit me, either (at least not on all accounts).
-
Interesting stuff. Some of the group subtypes they describe were new to me (at least the name they chose for that category).
-
Interesting. When you describe it that way, it sounds much more appealing. I'd figured it would be way too sweet.
-
Now there's a unique brew if I've ever heard one. Not sure I'd want to try it, though, lol.

These pretty well sum up how I feel. -

Dammit. Just saw this and the thread is alread 6 pages long. I really didn't think they were going to buy him out. :( -
I agree with others about the need for some general topics. The Around the NHL thread is a good example; I would much rather read posts on other teams, league rules, comments on non-Sabres games, etc there than have new threads popping up everywhere for topics that are unlikely to generate lengthy discussion. If there are too many threads on the main page IMO it just increases the likelihood of a new (duplicate) thread being created because maybe the original one has slipped to page two and a newer member was unaware of it. But this time of year I think there is a good balance of new, topic-specific threads and general ones... During the regular season it's mostly game day threads. Also agreed on the need for more mods... Chz is awesome, but she's only one person (presumably with a full-time gig and a social life) and there's a lot to keep up on here. I know there are other mods but I don't see them post much anymore, although could be they just prefer to work behind the scenes.

Nice. Excited to see what this kid can do in camp.

Those were easily the best school lunch offered. Good find.

Road trip!! ;)

Very nice, and agree wholeheartedly. Love this place.

I tried Knob Creek a while back, but I didn't like how hot it was. I prefer Woodford for that tier. Unfortunately I live closer to MD than NY, and my only friend living there is south of DC so he's probably just as far as NY (3 hrs).

Dammit! No shipping to PA. Curse this state's ass-backwards liquor laws. :(

After so many damn people decided to stream the soccer game at work today that the internet was almost useless (took me 5 or so tries to place an order since the site kept crashing), this afternoon we started getting a message on certain websites saying they were blocked per administrator policy since they were for "sports and recreation". Which means no SabreSpace, ESPN, NHL, etc tomorrow during draft day, or next week during free agency. I don't blame people for wanting to watch since people will get away with anything they can, but the IT folks probably should've seen this coming and just put a temporary block to encourage people to go out to lunch and watch off-campus. Perhaps the most infuriating part is that it only blocks these sites if you're accessing them from a University-owned machine that requires a login, so it doesn't affect anyone accessing our network with a personal laptop (and those are probably the main offenders because they're primarily students). ARGH. I've had problems with squirrels digging into my flowers all week, and tonight I came home to find the rabbits had eaten all the leaves off the new clematis I planted less than two weeks ago. Every. Last. One. This means war.

Oh yeah, forgot about the need for HRT. Oof. I hope it gets better, Jo!

Is there any kind of fertility test you can have done to determine this? I mean, there are lots of alternative ways to have children, and if you won't be able to go the traditional route, why suffer the monthly pain? I don't mean to oversimplify because I know it's not a trivial decision, but man, that sounds awful.
-
Ouch! I would've had a hysterectomy by now, though I understand reasons why you might not be looking to go that route.
-
Yikes man, good luck -- my dad and stepmom have both had them, and they are incredibly painful. Even worse is when the docs just say "it'll pass on it's own" and expect you to be doped up on painkillers for two weeks rather than get you to have lithotripsy. There's so many people at work streaming this dumb soccer game that my internet is worthless for actual work (and SabreSpace, of course).
