I definitely think Kane being black is a huge reason his transgressions linger while, as Sabel79 points out, the white Kane's foibles are quickly forgotten. Could also be a reason why others see him as smug. Please point to an occasion when EKane was smug. I seemed to miss that.

I defend Lehner a lot but he's mentally checked out today. That said, the players in front are zero help. Housley could put traffic cones out there and get the same result. In the meantime, there's a UB women's basketball game on ESPN3 that I'm sure it's more entertaining.
