I'll keep saying it, why can't they invite Canadian Forces vets for the anthem once a while? You can have both.

Unfortunately I don't think DB gets fired this year. Partly because of Rex Ryan. And partly because expectations for the Sabres were much lower than the Bills. We are tracking for around 81 points, same as last year. So one could argue the Sabres are no worse, and can claim Jack's preseason injury set them back. I'm afraid we all need to come to grips with a sell off at the deadline and hopes for some lottery luck. As for season ticket sales, I do think the Sabres are worried. I got a survey recently trying to measure my temperature on the team and asking "what factors will determine my renewal." StubHub prices are still at mid-tank levels. (Actually they are that bad throughout most of the NHL right now, but that's another story.)

We jinxed Atlanta by sending some of our Buffalo mojo their way.

As much as I love seeing the Sabres pound the Sens, I still don't feel like we are making the playoffs. We are pacing for about 85-87 points, a step up from last year's 81. They could argue losing Eichel early killed their chances and overall the arrow is still pointing up. Maybe they get lucky in the lottery for once. Bylsma's back, maybe even discusses an extension. Meanwhile the fans will keep losing interest and I predict a big hit in season ticket numbers, especially if they try to raise prices again.
