Let me tell you, RWS was the best Winter Classic venue of them all. At least 80% of the seats had full view of the ice surface. Holding hockey in a baseball stadium is the ultimate in futility. I went to Frozen Fenway with local college teams a few years back. I walked around the entire stadium and could not find a single place where the sight lines were good.

Let me apply the same player evaluation methods they use at Two Bills Drive... Welllll, he's been pretttty good. Not great, but he hasn't lost us any games. His saves are just a little bit off. A REAL NHL goalie would make them better. Plus he has "slow eyes." You can see he isn't focused on the puck. We've been through this before. A a couple of good games, then you get sucked in and give them the big contract, and BOOM!. There is a reason this guy was a backup for years and not a #1 pick. He'll do until we get a REAL franchise goalie. Speaking of, did you see that guy who just beat Boston? I know it's only two starts but he already looks like a franchise player. In fact I was saying Buffalo should trade for that kid. But this front office simply refuses to address the goalie situation. Been that way since Hasek.

I'm 57 and still tend goal. C-level beer league. Most of the guys on my team are 50-something. No reason to stop playing because of age. As for officiating you probably skate harder and longer than most of the players. If anything it's tougher.

Lenovos are loaded with Chinese government spyware. As for advice, go for the best processor, most RAM, and fastest hard drives you can afford. If you don't need a lot of storage, try and get a laptop with an SSD (solid state drive.) They are the fastest. See if there is a Microsoft store near you. They are usually in malls and look exactly like Apple stores. They care a wide range of brands and decent prices. Best of all, anything you buy there is bloatware-free. Also you can bring any Microsoft OS computer (within a certain age) to them and they will work on it for free. That includes virus removal. This applies whether you bought the computer there or not. It's a great service.

If it's true we were gypped out of power play time because of the offsides review, then that's a detail our coaches and players failed to play attention to.

You have to have contact outside the line, otherwise you are offsides. Yes this sucks but the offsides wasn't even close there. Pretty obvious on replay. Maybe the Sabres need to make more effort there? That solves the other problem, doesn't it?

Well that's on the Sabres bench for not pointing it out to the refs. Head in the game, boys.

QC is in, as is LV. The shocker was no expansion app from Seattle. But I think a team like Florida can be sold and relocate there when they have their building. They could play in the Pacific. But LV would likely want to be in the Pacific as well, since SJ, LA, Phoenix and Anaheim are all natural rivals. They may have to go to the Central since none of the Pacific teams would want to leave.

Actually it's been proven they do.

So far Linus Ullmark and Chad Johnson are playing well enough for the Sabres to win 6 of their last 8. If this continues, is Robin Lehner automatically back to being the starter when he returns? If Ullmark keeps playing as well as he has, it will be hard to do that. But it will also make the trade of a 1st round pick for Lehner seem like a waste.
