  1. Let's review. SS posters lament FNC full of opposing fans. Blame greedy STHers selling tickets for hundreds. Pricing out local fans Reality is StubHub tickets for those games are selling below cost. So no one is getting priced out. So if the FNC is still half full of opposing fans, who's fault is it? The ticket sellers or the buyers? Including ones who don't even bother to check the prices?
  2. Only set foot in the old Boston Garden once in 1994. They tore it down soon after. The Aud was practically the same building.
  3. Uh...do your part by keeping an opposing fan out of the building. Do it for all the people bothered by that but don't buy tickets themselves.
  4. Just watched the Eichel goal again. There have been many goals scored by him that look ho-hum. Like "how did the goalie miss that?" Turns out Eichel has figured out how to curve his shots. He drifts one direction, the goalie follows, then he fires a shot with from his trailing side that must look like it's going wide, but because it has Eichel's lateral momentum, it curves into the net. Spectacular.
  5. I really wasn't complaining. Just sharing a fact.
  6. Obviously the Sabres aren't losing money on games because they are 90-95% sold. But even they have to hold "Sabrebuck games of the month" fire sales. Mostly 2, a few 3,lately 1.
  7. Hey. Buy a ticket and do your part. It's closer to reality than you realize.
  8. Way to jump to conclusions. I know the risk involved. As they say in stock market ads "past performance doesn't guarantee future outcomes." But even losing $1600 is still way less than paying full boat. But don't hate the player, hate the game. This is the system. Teams benefit from resellers. We guarantee a full house while absorbing the fluctuations of a fickle fanbase. We all pat ourselves on the back for maintaining a mostly full FNC during the tank, but why do you think that happened? It was resellers dumping seats at a quarter to the dollar. Do you honestly think fans would have paid full price for the garbage we were inflicted with? If anything, resellers are the reason why parents can take their kids to see Jack Eichel for $20. Yet somehow all those Toronto and Montreal fans fill the FNC? Why is that? Are they somehow preventing Buffalo fans from buying up all those $20 tickets? Trust me. Take reseller tickets out of the FNC and you have 6K in the house.
  9. I'm saying Toronto and Montreal games are selling for under season ticket prices. The Sabres aren't losing, the STHers are.
  10. I don't remember. It was the late 60's. Was plexiglass invented by then? But I clearly recall the round analog clock face on the scoreboard.
  11. My first game at the Aud was the Bisons. The scoreboard clock was analog.
  12. Down? Yes. I took another beating. But I already renewed. I'm like the compulsive gambler who figures the next pull of the slot machine lever will be the jackpot. That math really doesn't work. In fact Toronto and Montreal games that used to be windfalls now lose money.
  13. Is there a graphic showing new prices anywhere? I think mine went up a dollar, up in the nosebleeds.
  14. Sabres are at 70 points with 8 games to go. Already 17 points better than last year. They are 5-3-2 in their last ten. They are in 14th place, just two behind Montreal and 7 behind NJ. They could realistically reach 10th.
  15. Because it has a large Muslim population, and in any population there are those who wish to create chaos.
  16. I just put the game on. Why is Johnson playing two in a row? Is Lehner hurt?
  17. Who is watching on GCL? They are playing the same 4 ads over and over. :suicide:
  18. Two Sens were in alone on Johnson but instead took each other out
  19. Samson makes that no goal call moot. BTW that was the correct call by the officials.
