The Bruins are slowly unraveling but the Sabres have 10 other teams to climb over to claim one of three playoff berths. Head down and keep grinding. Living in NH, the Bruins give me some pleasure knowing that spoiled rotten Boston sports fans aren't getting another automatic championship they think they are entitled to.

Thought of that. Did you mean 2 pts for OT win and 1 pt for loss, but only 1 pt for SO win and 0 pts for loss? The problem with that is teams that know they stink in the SO (know any teams like that?) would deliberately allow a goal in OT just to earn a point. That's not cricket.

What they need to do is go to a 3-2-1 points system. 3 points for regulation win, 2 points for OT/shootout win, 1 point for loss.

Goalie technique looked so awkward back then. I mean Tony Esposito was considered one of the greats back then and he looks foolish on those goals. They were so upright then. Maybe it's the equipment being better now.
