Values may go up but you still have to pay bills. Losing gate revenue hurts NHL teams more than other leagues.

Looks like the Raptors players nixed Louisville as a temporary home. https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2914797-report-raptors-didnt-want-to-play-in-louisville-after-breonna-taylor-shooting.amp.html -

You know what? The Toronto Raptors might need a US base. -
Living in NH I get the NHL center ice streaming package. It's fine.

Wanted: starting goalie. Pays $700K @ 1 year plus unlimited lunch at the Healthy Scratch. -
Nice if true.
-
It would be a perfect kickoff for the season.

I went and it was amazing. Even more amazing was there were tickets for as little as $10. (The first 6 rows with limited view.)

That black/red Sabres jersey design became one of the most popular in the hockey world. You'd be amazed how many youth and high school hockey programs in New England adopted that design pattern.

(Quasi-OT, Quasi-Political) is "Hockey for Everyone"? (538.com)
PromoTheRobot replied to Marvin's topic in The Aud Club
I often think about how much potential hockey talent there is being missed because entire groups of people are left out of hockey, for whatever reason: access, cost, culture.- 18 replies

If fans could fire an owner, would you fire Terry?

So put the torches and pitchforks back in the tool shed. -

It contains "Bills." If the Pegulas and the NFL looked the other way, then precedent is set. Anyone could create #Bills(whatever) and they'd have no right to object. -

I get the "Bills Mafia" came about organically (from Del Reid mainly) but "Bills" is owned by the Pegulas and the NFL. If you don't defend your trademark you lose it. -

Keeping the streak going. -
Our strategy seems to be signing every player willing to play for 1 year $700K.

Deleted when I saw the time stamp. First I saw but I've been busy all day.

I had two Conformis knees installed. They call it a total knee replacement but really it's only the cartilage surfaces get ground down and covered with a 3D-printed prosthetic, plus a plastic meniscus. The rest of the knee is intact: patella, ligaments, etc. You can be walking pretty quickly but doing anything stressful might take a year for things to feel right. One knee is 15 months and the other is 9. The 9-month knee still gets twinges if I make a false move. Obviously I can't take a shot off the knee but my shin guards protect me well. Goaltending is out of the question with the up-and-down. Covid has reduced the number of leagues around here. Most are C/D level. Still too much for me to risk. I did find one novice/beginner league near Boston, about 45 minutes drive from me. Still deciding.
