Buffalo State has an awesome rink on campus. I also recall the Beauts playing a game at Buffalo Riverworks. Technically an outdoor rink but covered. They had a nice turnout.

I'm blessed to have skills that I can sell as a hired gun. The downside is I can never really take a day off. The upside is most days I can take work with me, put in the hour or two and enjoy wherever I am.

So much depends if Jack is willing to play along. What is his incentive to help KA move him before his NMC kicks in? Maybe he doesn't want to go where the Sabres have the best offer? Maybe he wants to dictate where he goes, ala Taylor Hall? So much that can go wrong.

That is an excellent question. Have any teams in the Eichel derby seen his medical files, talked to any of Jack's doctors or Jack personally? You'd think someone would break that kind of news.

I remember watching the '93 cup final. It was the first time the Kings made it, led by Wayne Gretzky. Really wanted L.A. to win. Of course they did eventually.

At this stage you don't say yes or no to anything. You see what's being offered and ask can you do better?

They'd only drop out if someone else is offering more.

That should enhance the Sabres reputation. Maybe the NHLPA can file a grievance too. Meanwhile the young team has to play with that over their heads.

I admit I don't know Jack's mindset. He always played hard. But he also chose to drop a bomb at that "disconnect" press conference. The Sabres and Adams have to play this right. But we'll never really know what the best outcome is.

Sure, this could happen again. But he might decide he's not risking further injury for a team he's blowing off. I don't know what Jack is thinking or how petty he wants to get. If things do get ugly do you want this hanging over the team? Adams has time for now. But wait too long and things can get messy. And then what?

It involves nerves. It can look fine and he can say it hurts. Prove he's lying.

Or, he could be a total beyotch about it, say his neck hurts, sit out and wait for his NMC to kick in.
