  1. I think it's time for King Henrik to retire.
  2. Big May for me. 5/4 The Damned. 5/11 Midnight Oil. 5/16 Jean Michel Jarre.
  3. I have a really hard time signing a goalie who is as helpless in shootouts as Lehner. It's amazing he reached the NHL with such a deficiency.
  4. In time that entire Cobblestone block will become bars and restaurants. A place close by where all those IIHF and Frozen Four fans can spend money.
  5. You'll never convince the bean counters the Toronto series was a bad move. Rogers paid $9MM/game. A sold-out Ralph Wilson Stadium is a little over $3MM/game gross.
  6. YouTube TV is currently available to residents of the following areas: Chicago Los Angeles New York City Philadelphia San Francisco Bay Area I'm Boston area so I'm SOL for now.
  7. He's in the War Room, man. The freakin' WAR ROOM, sending out his Brandon vibes. What more do you need?
  8. Be careful defending Whaley over that press conference. It's a trigger for some people. But what is their job? I recently had a twitter exchange with Jay Skurski about his story saying the Bills cap guy Overdorf sucks and should be fired. His argument was because the Bills lost Hogan and Gillislee to the Patriots, Overdorf must be mismanaging the cap. I asked him to be more specific. Why is the cap mismanaged? What contract was a mistake? How much falls on Overdorf when Whaley is signing the players? All I get back is look at the results. I left it there because I didn't want to get into an argument but doesn't that strike you as pretty lazy?
  9. Now Leroi is the assumed insider. Right a lot but not every time.
  10. And like clockwork, you misconstrue my point to fit your conspiracy narrative
  11. Been thinking about the coach, GM, etc. search and something Terry Pegula said in his news conference. It's interesting that Terry said he would be leading the search. I wonder if some of his other decisions have been made with the influence of others and he's feeling like if he's going to be responsible for what happens he should at least be making his own choices? Which brings me to the structure question. Can you have too many layers in an organization? You can have a POHO, GM and what have you when everything works and it's wonderful. But when it doesn't work, does it only serve to muddle the problems? Who is doing the bad job? Who's making the wrong decisions? And if you clean house are you getting rid of the good with the bad? So I'm wondering if part of what Terry has to decide is does he want more or fewer cooks in the kitchen?
  12. GM, shmee-em, when are they going to replace the head masseuse?
  13. So it is. It only just showed up in my twitter feed.
  14. http://www.wkbw.com/sports/sabres/report-blackhawks-assistant-gm-front-runner-to-land-sabres-opening MacIver lead candidate.
  15. Not at all. Feel free to bring up your faith all you want. It's a free country, at least for now. The "shot across the bow," as you put it, was the observation that Terry Pegula brings up the faith of the last few coaching hires. It begged the question if religious belief plays a role in the Pegulas decision process. That's a fair question because the quotes are out there. The same observation would be made if the Pegulas cited a hire's physique, eye color, taste in clothing, or any attribute that seemed to land outside of what is considered part of coaching a team. You and others took that to DEFCON 2 calling it an attack on your faith. I would suggest some reflection on the victim mentality you say you don't possess.
  16. I visited the website of Open Door USA, the authors of that study you cite in the link. That group only presents persecution against Christians.
  17. But you're cool with Terry, even though the same is true of him? Gotcha. By the way, how do you know what experience Kim has or doesn't have?
  18. I respect yours and everyone's right to practice their religious beliefs but I also feel the victim mentality shown by some Christians is disingenuous.
  19. It's still a good thought exercise. If you have a negative reaction you should honestly ask yourself why?
  20. And yet your comment was directed at Kim, not Terry. And why is the story of how they met germane to this issue unless you are trying to suggest something tawdry about Kim?
