@SDS doesn't think there's any animosity between Hall and the Sabres but you can bet the Bruins will be playing heavy. What I want to see is the Sabres responding to the Bruins physicality and keep up with them on the scoreboard. A win would be a bonus. As a whole the Sabres are getting outplayed but they still manage to claw their way back into these games. Let's keep that up.

Maybe the Sabres don't scare them but the Bruins only have a 4 point lead on the Rangers and Flyers for the 4th playoff spot. I expect them to give 100%. The Sabres can create their own "playoff push." They are 6 points behind Ottawa and 7 behind Anaheim with 2 games in hand on both teams. Getting out of last would be a nice goal over the last 15 games. But they got lucky with the Bills, right?

You're right. He wasn't obligated at all. But you'd like to think he had enough consideration for the Sabres, a team that gave him $8MM for mostly nothing, to help them out and go to the team that was offering the most for his services. LeBrun said he heard a Western team was offering more than the Bruins. Was it Vegas and a 1? We'll never know. But because Hall had to be a Bruin and only a Bruin, not only did the Sabres only get a 2nd, but they had to help the Bruins make room under their cap with the Bjork/Lazar swap. That's another indignity and Adams is getting pilloried for something that out of his control (other than giving Hall the NMC in the first place, but I don't recall anyone here complaining about it last summer.) The combo of this trade circumstance and the overall performance Hall gave the Sabres doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy toward him.

I'll give you those points but let's not be too quick to dismiss what we see. If it's so easy to get guys who haven't done anything with the Sabres to suddenly look effective, why hasn't it happened before?
