  1. I meant they aren't laying the lumber like they were just a two weeks ago. They have to get the Canucks off their game.
  2. Everything is going Vancouver's way. Nothing going Buffalo's way. They need to get angry. I don't care if they get called for it. Bust some heads.
  3. The effort's there but they are out of sync. Lots of little mistakes.
  4. This is the 131st meeting between the 1970 expansion siblings. Vancouver is 58-49-19-4 all-time against Buffalo, including a 24-30-8-3 record on the road. The Canucks are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games against the Sabres (3-1-1 in their last 5) https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/game-notes-canucks-at-sabres-112924#:~:text=MATCH-UP INFO&text=Vancouver is 58-49-19,18) in 27 career games.
  5. We had plenty of jump. But so did the Wild. They woke up after period 1 and matched our effort.
  6. Minnesota found their legs in the 2nd and Buffalo got bottled up, except for a few chances.
  7. Good period for the Sabres, except for the 4-1. 16-4 Sabres in shots.
  8. They sold out on offense. Worst case happened the other way. But it took that big a mistake for the Wild to do anything. So just keep playing hard and we'll get it back.
  9. The triumphant conquerors of the Western provinces return to vanquish the marauding band of Wildings that invade our waterside castle. Sir Tage of Thompson is expected to fight again after a successful round of bloodletting by leaches, performed by our finest barbers and alchemists. Dilly, Dilly! 🏰
  10. I think you are right.
  11. https://puckpedia.com/tax-calculator Now you can see how much more or less of a tax bite a player gets when changing teams.
  12. You have to remember that for most of the NHLs existence, 75-80% of teams made the playoffs. So you would have to be terrible not to make it.
  13. Did you have money on this? That's the spirit.
  14. Look at 31 other teams. Injuries happen. (See Toronto) Especially when you stand in front of pucks moving at 100mph. See for yourself: https://search.app?link=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.espn.com%2Fnhl%2Finjuries&utm_campaign=aga&utm_source=agsadl1%2Csh%2Fx%2Fgs%2Fm2%2F4
  15. Seeing Reimer play well eases my concerns some, as his two starts in Anaheim he allowed 9 goals. Speaking of, I would bet there was an unspoken "loan" between Adams and the Ducks to borrow Reimer until Gibson got back.
  16. I see nothing wrong with a physical response when our guy gets nailed. Sure, you might give up a power play, but considering how soft and easy to play against these Sabres, and most of these same players, were in the past, we need to respond to not only send a message to the other team, but to our own team too. It's all part of the package of Lindyball.
  17. It was Anaheim that smothered the Sabres most of the evening. Buffalo had to fight through that to get their goals. Both Ducks goals were of the flukey variety.
