  1. I don't remember what interview it was, but in one of the talks with the WGR afternoon guys Murray said he definitely thought of Ullmark as a future number 1. Lehner has played well, and I think he's GMTM's guy, so I wonder if Linus doesn't get shipped out in a year or two when its clear he's ready to be a full time number one. So much can happen in that time that its not really worth thinking about now, but I bet its on Murray's mind.
  2. I know since the trade I've been thinking "What if Lehner wasn't worth a first?". But man, what if he IS worth a first. The guy has been more than solid since getting here.
  3. I agree, I wouldn't do it. Its just what it'd take. Relevant: http://www.stutteringbuffalo.com/teen-willing-to-trade-ennis-gionta-and-the-remains-of-dmitri-kalinin-for-elite-superstar/
  4. Switch Bogo for Pysyk and toss in Reinhardt and they might return your call. Might.
  5. Hoss and John Warrow are probably going to rumble over this Stamkos thing.
  6. I think if you do you "no opinion" a bunch it messes with it. Choosing between Philly and Carolina was torture.
  7. Website ranks your favorite to least favorite teams: http://jesseepinkman.tumblr.com/nhlsorter 1 Buffalo Sabres 2 Washington Capitals 3 Montreal Canadiens 4 Detroit Red Wings 5 Pittsburgh Penguins 6 Florida Panthers 7 Colorado Avalanche 8 Tampa Bay Lightning 9 Chicago Blackhawks 10 San Jose Sharks 10 St. Louis Blues 12 Edmonton Oilers 12 Vancouver Canucks 14 Arizona Coyotes 15 LA Kings 15 Calgary Flames 17 Anaheim Ducks 18 Ottawa Senators 19 Winnipeg Jets 19 Minnesota Wild 19 New York Islanders 19 Columbus Blue Jackets 19 Nashville Predators 24 New York Rangers 25 Boston Bruins 26 New Jersey Devils 27 Philadelphia Flyers 28 Dallas Stars 29 Carolina Hurricanes 30 Toronto Maple Leafs
  8. Certainly possible, and would be sad. I've essentially accepted that this will happen with breweries over the next few years; its an industry that is too big not to sell out. I figure you'll end up with essentially 3 classes of craft. Big Beer craft; owned at least partially by AB-Inbev and the like, Big Craft Beer - a few holdouts of the craft beer movement that make it big enough to sustain themselves (Sam Adams is who I'm thinking of here, but maybe Sierra Nevada, Dogfishhead, something of that sort), and Local Craft - breweries small enough to stay under the radar until they grow big enough to fall under one of the other two categories. And I guess I'm ok with that. As much as I hate giving money to AB-InBev, if they allow the breweries to operate in their own way and not turn everything into ShockTop and Blue Moon, what do I really care? Goose Island is owned by them, its still pretty good. Elysian is too, and I love me some Dayglow. The quality of some will fall off, so I'll stop drinking them, but good beer is good beer.
  9. On the list for sure, I think we're gonna do dinner there our first night, I hear the restaurant is pretty good. I think we'll do a stop in to FW, though the lady isn't big on the aged brews, so maybe just a pint if its close to another thing we're hitting. I'll keep the other two in mind, we're doing LA for a day as well as Portland, so we can probably make it work.
  10. Going to the West Coast in April. Planning on hitting : Ballast Point, Stone, Russian River, maybe Sierra Nevada, maybe Anchor. Anyone got any suggestions of good, smaller places? Heading from San Diego up to Portland over about 2 weeks. This worries me a bit, but maybe it will enable STBC to ward off the bigger guys easier.
  11. Ehhhh maybe, but if he's smart he's not going to bank on that. Look at Moulson at 32. Obviously thats an extreme situation, and Moulson has never been the player that Stamkos is, but still. He's going to want a big, long deal, because who the hell knows what happens in the next 5 years. That being said, if he WAS open to it, you jump right on it if you're the Sabres.
  12. He looks better now than he did in Return.
  13. A few games I'm fine with, but I really like the Blue & Green of their current.uni's.
  14. haha, my dad still talks about that, too, I can see that being a fun call for a kid.
  15. To be fair: Plus: We had to pause the show after that first scene with him for a bit we were laughing so hard. That was awesome.
  16. Yup, that was a hell of an episode.
  17. Figured MODO would get a kick out of this: http://www.theplayerstribune.com/victor-hedman-lightning-sweden-hockey/
  18. Freeman, I don't think you're coming from a bad place posting that article, nor do I think you're being malicious against women or anything. The problem is that a woman, or man for that matter, who has been sexually abused, assulted, or raped is already very afraid of what will happen to them if they come out and say something. Its even worse when the person they need to accuse is someone famous where a spotlight will be put on the whole thing. The suggestions that someone is faking the rape for money is inherently detrimental to someone else who WAS raped coming out and saying something about it. What that person sees is "if I come out and say something, I'll be accused and ridiculed for doing so." Worse, those people are often called sluts and worse for "allowing it to happen" or even "asking for it". This means victims keep quiet, which means these perpetrators can continue hurting more people. Of course he's innocent until proven guilty. Of course what you are saying is possible. But we need to create an environment as a society where people feel ok coming forward, and then letting the law sort it out.
  19. That presumption goes both ways, you have to assume that the accuser is also innocent of falsely reporting stuff. Also, if we're going anecdotally, we can go one for one on "women who probably falsely accused a man of rape" and "men who have probably raped women and gotten away with it because of stature" and see who comes out on top. I'm not saying Kane (either one) did or didn't do these, but saying "well he's rich so she's probably lying to get money" is a bad way of coming at this.
  20. hah! I just followed you earlier today. This is really neat. Reminds me of the "Population of Pominville" thing from a bunch of years ago. Is this going to be a career long tower? How much money are you investing in pucks?
  21. You could do worse than Carla. Do you have 12 terrible children?
  22. Yup. Lost my respect for him then. If he'd had the Pegulas in the Drury Briere year at least one of them would have stayed, he could have taken the 4 top picks for Vanek, team would have been very different and he might have gone farther. He was hogtied a lot of his time here, and he could have done better given better assets. But I always assumed he and Ruff would go at the same time. They were so close, had been together for so long. I imagined him telling an owner "we both stay or we both go. I'll resign if you fire him." But then, nope, GTFO Lindy. Killed him in my eyes.
  23. I'd love a Celebrity Death Match between Darcy and Murray.
