Remember, this is a marketing thing for the NHL. They want those young stars in the game. Eichel and McDavid and Matthews all on the same team? Oh yeah, thats getting some views. As a non-NA resident I get why you're not happy with it, but as someone from the states I just can't wait to see that young guns team in action. I think as long as the NHL stays in the Olympics I'm ok with this format for the World Cup; real national pride is on the line in the Olympics for me. World Cup is just fun.

Hot damn, great gameday thread wild. I'm going to this game, too. Can't wait. I want Eichels first hatty.

How the hell do you know that? They have five or six 3rds over the next two drafts depending on what happens with McGinn's conditions; those could CERTAINLY go for a player like Drouin or Yakupov or be paired with a player for a Taylor Hall. Picks are pure assets, especially in this league where player for player trades are happening less and noone wants to give up firsts. If I'm actually a good team two years from now McGinn isn't in my top-six, and I could give a what happens in the last two months of this season outside of an injury.

He didn't throw in the towel man, we were KO'd in the second round. Jaime McGinn is a nice player. A nice player of which there are about 100 of in the NHL at any given time.

If thats what they're getting for Russel, trade Gorges now.

Mike Heika @MikeHeika 47s47 seconds ago I believe the Russell trade is for young defenseman on roster, forward prospect and conditional pick

John Shannon @JSportsnet 51s51 seconds ago Eric Gelinas from NJ to Colorado for a 3rd round pick. #NHLTrade

I think comes from the fact that the Sabres have, god help me, almost to many centers. O'Reilly, Eichel, Reinhardt, Girgensons. I don't subscribe to that theory, and would rather the Rhinos play on a line together, and keep Girgs on Eichels wing, but I think people see Larsson as a tradeable commodity because of that. Personally, Larry is my ideal version of a third line center.

Talk about selling low. Injured for quite possibly the rest of the season, not to mention the 20 or so games he DID play were not good. They'd be better off waiting a year.

The problem isn't his privacy, its everyone's privacy. The feds are asking Apple to create a backdoor that didn't exist before, so now there would be an opening to ALL phones (iPhones for now, but once the precedent is set it'll be all phones soon enough).

Wow, great legwork.

Man, how great is it to have TV worth analyzing, right? I think the Slippin' Jimmy stuff is also his way of blowing off steam. The way Ed Begley Jr. was playing guitar in his office, and said "Everybody's gotta have something" or whatever. The schemey stuff is like an old glove to Jimmy, and slipping (hur hur) into it is like going home for a bit when the office gets to stuffy. I think we'll see him rely on it more and more. Eventually, Saul Goodman will become his best/worst of both worlds scenario.

Wow, that's actually really close: http://dobberhockey.com/frozenpool_compare.php?compare%5B%5D=2198&compare%5B%5D=2408&sent=go&games=YEAR%3AR%7CP%3A201%5B34%5D (No idea if that link will work) Skinner is younger, so thats something, but if they're that similar I'd rather forget Skinner, let Ennis take the year off, and hope he can get it together next year. It was a lost year for him; I think it takes a while to get used to Bylsma's system, and he's been injured so much he hasn't had time to learn it. I might still pull the trigger if Carolina is really desperate to get rid of the contract and will either A) Give me a top tier prospect in addition to Skinner or B) retain some of the salary. I could also see sending Ennis to them as a cheaper, older Skinner who I'd be getting, and also getting back addition picks or prospects.

Concussions scare me, for sure, just not enough to not take a swing. I get it, though.

Thats why he comes cheap. I get people not liking him, but I think he's still talented.

Ehhh, I think we're close to each other here, but not quite on. I think she really does care for him, but wants him to be successful. Its not that she wants money, she's a lawyer too (though he probably jumped ahead of here at the new firm), not to mention smart and attractive; finding a rich hubby would not be an issue for her if thats all she wanted. However, Jimmy could certainly interpret that way, which would cause him to push her off. I think she wants him to be a success for himself, and she also wants him to be a part of her world *cues up Little Mermaid music* so they can go through it all together.

A) Buffalo 2nd to Carolina for Jeff Skinner and a D prospect: Carolina wants him off their books, he's got a concussion history, and isn't scoring like he usually does. But if I'm the Sabres GM, I feel like I can take a risk on the contract (which runs out right about when I've gotta pay Eichel and Reinhardt) in the hopes of finding a scoring winger to sit on Eichel's wing. I might be over reaching, but I don't think by much, maybe a flop of prospects instead. B) Drouin to WPG for Ladd - IDK if the prices are right, so toss some picks or prospects on there to even it out, but TBL are going to want to make a run for the cup this year with The Stamkos Decision looming, and Ladd can help.

When Jimmy eventually drives Kim away its going to emotionally wreck me. I know some people say she'll die or something, but I honestly think that'd be letting him and us off easy. She's going to have to leave him, and its going to be awful. sandwiches! I mean, kind of. Especially as a lawyer.
