    This was amazing. I was watching this with a friend at a bar and right as Kane got the puck we both yelled "Send him!" like it was a soccer game. You knew noone was going to catch him. I wanna give Kane some major props for that pass. He bloops it down and it just stopped there. He mentioned in the post game that he practices those because they help with line changes; he said they were like a punt, you buy yourself 4 seconds or so if you do it right without icing the puck. It was a great pass. I'm so freaking excited about this team.

    If one or both leagues have success, I forsee a merger with the CWHL in the future. Create a 8 man team, merging the two Boston teams, and move Calgary east to some where else (maybe philly or pittsburgh). That would be cool. It'd be to bad that there'd be nothing out west, but having only ONE team out west is even worse. I'm sad I didn't make it to any games this year, I'll have to rectify that next year.

    Yup, that game was so much fun at the end there. That shot of them all walking down the hall will be something I remember for a long time.

    So this is it: this is the season we finally move completely past the books. I think it will leave us with more questions than answers in a lot of ways, but considering I figure its about 50/50 whether GRRM dies before finishing the series I'm ok with it in general. Lots of stuff in that trailer, looks good.

    Goddamn this show is great. Its amazing how they're playing this Mike storyline almost completely separate from Jimmy's. On the surface, here's this legal drama/comedy about a semi-crooked lawyer trying to play it straight...kind of. That could have been enough for a show. Jimmy/Saul is a good enough character to hold that for a season or two. Or maybe you have him heel turn right at the end of the first season, or beginning of the second, for Saul. Could have done it all w/o Mike and it would have been fine. But having Mike's story happen parallel to Jimmy is what makes it something more. Its the opposite story. Ex-cop trying to break into crime...kind of. He's dipping his toe, trying to stay out of the deep end. Of course, if you've seen Breaking Bad (after this point I assume you have.........ok, enough warning) you know he won't. He will fail to stay on the light side of dark. And thats what makes it even better. We know the end. We know how these two characters end up. We know what they become. Making the story of how they get there, and making it compelling, and at the same time humorous without being silly, is goddamned impressive.

    I really don't see that happening. I think Samson would just go to wing permanently. Girgensons-Eichel-Samson Kane-Matthews-ROR Who-The-Ever Some-Other-Schmucks I could live with that. Not sure about Girgs, but I could live with it.

    That Samson shootout goal was sick. I love beating the Leafs. Even last year when I was in full tank mode I always wanted to beat the Leafs. Its the best.

    Its delicious. its not cake. Ice cream cake is ice cream in cake form. Cheese cake is cream cheese in cake form. If I take mash potatoes and shape them into a cake form its not a cake. Cakes are baked. They involve flour. They rise. Cheese "cake" is more accurately described as "cream cheese pie". See?! I didn't even look it up! Agreed. Gotta go with the butter creme for wedding cakes. Its more expensive but sooo worth it.

    I got some hot takes on cakes: Neither cheese cake nor ice creme cakes are cakes. And if you get fondant anywhere near my cake you can just throw it out; I don't need 2 inches of Elmer's Glue on top of my dessert #buttercreme4lyfe

    Because if you want to grow the game you don't tell players who were born outside of those countries "Thanks but no thanks, you don't count." You want to tell Marion Hossa and Zdeno Chara they don't belong? Look at the Euro Roster, theres some HOFers in there for sure:
