  1. Stuff like this is a trigger for me after 20 years of the Bills doing it.
  2. Do people actually want to hire Lindy Ruff back? Nostalgia is not how you win, sorry. Lindy's message was getting old for this league 10 years ago. This would be like when the Bills brought back Marv. It would be pandering, and all it would do is hinder us for another 3 years until we realise we have to fire him again, and then we feel all about it all over again. Lindy was a nice coach for us; he coached some good teams. This line from this article says it all to me: "Dallas is right where they were four years ago - out of the playoffs, struggling and in search of a new leader." His time is done. Get someone new.
  3. This is the offseason for him, IMO. He can make or break his job in the next 6 months. I'm willing to give him that long, but if we start next year with the same coach AND the same roster (on defense especially) then I'll be done with him.
  4. We all are. I WANT TO GET OFF MR. BONES WILD RIDE.
  5. The Josie/D4rk household on the weekends:
  6. Second set of hops got planted last fall, planning on making a hop arch over the back yard, gotta do some prep for that this week. Also stealing some cuttings from my dad's red currant bushes in their back yard and try to grow some of that next to the hops as well. Meanwhile, I tilled under my entire back yard last weekend and planted grass, so hopefully that starts to sprout soon.
  7. He hasn't the last two years under DB. I'm not saying that will magically go away under a new coach, but if it DID and he becomes a ~20 goal/~40 point scorer like it once seemed he could be then thats a higher ceiling than I picture for Larsson, who will be a 3/4 line center until he retires. I agree about the rest of your points on Larsson, however.
  8. Trade whichever one gets me more back, they're both replacement level players. That said, I still hold out hope that Girgensons comes back from the dead under a different coach. He certainly has the higher ceiling of the two.
  9. Only insult comic I've ever liked. The only guy who could really make fun of Sinatra and get away with it. RIP Mr. Rickles.
  10. Yeah, I thought people would give me crap for putting MF on there, but he seems like a potential A to me. He's the first to jump in when things need to get scrappy. He's not as skilled as others, but I could see him getting a letter eventually.
  11. I also happen to think Jack deserves it, so it doesn't bother me any.
  12. These guys know where their bread is buttered, and that's on the edge of Jack's blade. Reconciliation w/ Jack is going to be the only way DB keeps his job, and that could easily mean the captaincy.
  13. Hamilton has an article about it, too: http://www.wgr550.com/articles/news/gionta-helping-groom-next-captain
  14. So there's been some talk about this on the twitters today, specifically by Paul Hamilton (sorry d4rk). Who do you think SHOULD get the letters next year? Who deserves it? Who wants it? Who will still be on the roster? I put up a separate poll about Gionta in addition, just to avoid the whole "but they might not resign him" thing. Some imput from Paul. I tend to think of Hamilton as a bit of an old-timey blowhard, but this is the type of stuff I actually trust his opinion on. For my money, its Jack. Its going to be him anyways, he's shown this year that he can be vocal, that he cares, and that he is clearly the best player on the team. My A's go to ROR and Sam, but if Gio is back there's no way they rip the letter from him entirely, and I think that's fair.
  15. ding ding ding
  16. I said this to a friend and he kind of made fun of me, but for real, if the Bills or Sabres don't get it together before Eichel leaves I'm probably done with Buffalo sports. Thats sort of an inane thing to say, because he'll be here for another decade at least probably, but I'm serious, if I turn 40 and one of these teams isn't legit I'm done. I've almost given up the Bills as it is, right now Eichel is literally the only reason I watch the Sabres. IDK if its Pegula's fault or whatever, but I don't really care, honestly. These teams are not fun to watch, and if I'm not having fun then what's the point?
  17. PHam would definitely have said something in the post game thing, because he loves to hate other reporters who don't "respect the game" and such.
  18. And Buffalo wins it in the shootout!
  19. BN Your Mom‏ @bnYourMom 1h1 hour ago More BREAKING: Sam Reinhart explaining why he was late for team stretch, leading to 1-game suspension: " on Your Mom happens". #Sabres
  20. I grabbed Assassin's Creed: Black Flag recently. I hadn't played any of the series since #2 came out, so it was fun to revisit it. Its the pirate one, so you spend some time at sea, sometime on land. AC1 and 2 got monotonous for me at some point because, as much fun as climbing around killing dudes is, when you do it 4000 times it can get boring, so the sea battles and travel break it up and are fun in their own right. Good stuff.
  21. This continues to be my favorite hockey highlight. Also, that should definitely have been a penalty. Interference and holding the stick (as literally as possible) would probably both have applied.
  22. I don't actually know Spanish
