Evander Kane arrested on misdemeanor charge for June nightclub incident
sabills replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
I actually meant to hit 6, which is what Okposo is making and he just signed last offseason. Could that get it done? Or are we talking 6.5 to 7. per. -

I understand this, and I felt similarly before (especially when it was like, 3 offseasons in a row of him getting in trouble), but I'm off that train I think. Its hard for me to believe because he's been in the league for so long, but he's only 25. He's just hitting his "prime", and if he's actually matured then he is the exact sort of player I want on my team when they make the playoffs. Kane is MADE for playoff hockey, and he's never gotten to experience it; I want him on my side when he does. I'd love him to get like a 5 year, $5m per deal from us. There's no one else on this team that does what he does. -
Sportsnet predicts Vegas' picks at the expansion draft

Why does that gif make me laugh everytime. -
Doug Whaley was a Pittsburgh guy, so was Tom Donahoe and Modrak. Bills went to that well A LOT for a while.

Bah, yeah, you're right. Well, whatever, Top 4 of Risto, Brodin, McCabe, and Guhle, however that works out. -

I'd be ok with it. 4.5 isn't bad for a 23 yo who's coming into his own, and the contract will be up by the time he's 26. I'm picturing a d-corps that looks something like: Risto - Brodin McCabe - Guhle Antipin - Bogo - Falk (whoever deserves what spots) Thats at least a little better than last year, and much faster. Plus your Defense Cap hit is something like 19.5 mil (assuming around 1m for Antipin and including the buyout for Gorges at 1.3m per), last year it was closer to 23.5. Average age is only ~24, last year it was ~30. Now that I type that out, I wouldn't hate another cheap but decent vet on the team. -
It really is that and agents of GM's pushing their client. Get names out there for next time. There's been like, no real "reporting" on this besides maybe Warrow.

It'd be pretty good, like, 4 years ago! Brodin -
I 100% believe the Shy-Guy Shawn report because of course he would scoop the rest of Buffalo media on it.

Yeah WGR touched on it this morning. Whaley "led" the coaching search for the Bills, too, which meant knowing phone numbers and talking to people to get the coaches in the building.

I mostly just love the team he has over there. No they haven't had a lot of success, you're right, but they're young, fun, and headed in the right direction. On top of that, people in Calgary REALLY want him to stay, so I take that as a positive. Mostly its the fun hockey thing, though. That team flies and doesn't stifle talent.

Yeah, nothing says being charitable like putting your name on something so everyone knows how charitable you're being ;) I do think the Pegulas could do some more with charity stuff, and the Sabres foundation isn't enough, but I don't think they have to be mutually exclusive, either. Developing the downtown area helps create jobs and increase the general economy of the area, which can bouey a lot with it. Also, we have a new children's hospital opening up in about 5 months already anyways :)

Love the trade down, getting 2 first round picks in a year when the QB's are supposed to be great? Yes please. The pick is fine, now get me a WR or two tomorrow and this will be a good draft.

Yeah, she spent the night at the office, then just used the gym to change and shower.

+1 If you asked me whether I'd rather have the city succeed or the teams succeed I'll take the city every time. Of course, that doesn't mean we can't have BOTH, which would be nice. I am Craft Beer Guy to a fault at times, but I keep a case of Blue Light in my work shop for when I'm doing stuff in there or around the house. Its what the body needs.

Being run by the same people who run the Genny Brew House in Rochester apparently, which is VERY good. This is a nice piece for down there.

True, I guess I meant he could have changed the headline, written a small blurb, then said something like "Mike Harrington from The Buffalo News reports the following:" and pasted the important part of the article in quotes. Either way, he's an idiot, and I don't feel sorry for him.
-
I mean, don't plagiarize. All he had to do was cite that article and it would have been fine.

On TV they didn't really, but Burnside and LeBrun are solid hockey writers. I'll miss them.

Fox Sports has been nabbing up ESPN talent as they leave recently, at least on the Radio side. They already do good work with soccer over there on FS1, it'd be cool if they could start picking up hockey coverage now, too.
