  1. please let the Jets way overpay Kirk Cousins https://nypost.com/2018/02/19/60m-in-1st-year-jets-set-to-creatively-pounce-on-kirk-cousins/
  2. Very cool! Already fully funded, too! EDIT:But people should still donate!
  3. Thats the key. The theory of houseshopping is super fun, the actual thing is stressful.
  4. Can attest, if you look at my house on Zillow (it is not for sale) its all pictures from before we bought it. Its very handy for me; I use those pictures when I put the apartment up for rent.
  5. Just moved a couple of friends into a house right near there. I always liked that area. I worked on a couple houses over there when I was doing my electrical gig.
  6. From Elliote Friedman's 31 Thoughts today: What's Philly got that we'd want to buy?
  7. Haha, I knew I remembered somebody mentioning it before. To the rest, as with all of my posts, please do not take my previous one very seriously. EDIT: I even commented on that post. So I definitely stole it from you.
  8. The Sabres should never get a guy who has a brother in the NHL again; they invariably get the worse one. See: Gretzky Primeau Rolston Niedermayer Foligno Nylander
  9. This year, broken into 10 game chunks: 1) 3-5-2 2) 2-6-2 3) 2-6-2 4) 3-4-3 5) 4-6-0 6) 1-3-0 Impressively consistent that first half
  10. Well that first one, '99, that was Hasek. I mean, there were other players too, but that run was Hasek. The second one I'll give him credit for, assuming we're talking one of the '05/'06 or '06/'07 seasons. Darcy had some real rough drafts though. '05,'06,'07 especially was a tough run. This teams drafting and ability to nurture talent is my number one reason for why we are where we are right now. There's just not that much in the pipeline, and hasn't been for a while. Yeah, and maybe more, I didn't go through and check each guy. The Wiki article I looked at had a symbol for "Made the All-star team" and it only had Vanek and Miller checked.
  11. I forgot Gus got in, he wasn't on that list either, and they missed pommers as well. Maybe that list is just borked up.
  12. You're right, Pommers did go to an All-Star game; he didn't have the mark next to his name on the Wiki list I was looking at. Campbell was 1997, and it looks like Darcy officially started about a week after the draft so I wasn't counting that one, but I was also 11 so I don't really remember how that all went down. Also, that 1997 draft was pretty good.. Max,Tallinder, Campbell, and Noronen. Whether or not you think they should have tanked for Eichel (I'd do it all over again; this team was so devoid of actual talent for so long, well before Jack was even on my radar, that he is a shining star in a pit of darkness), he was certainly a MAJOR reason for them doing it. Obviously they wanted McDavid, but Murray fought hard for them to not change the rules for the top of a draft that year; they were going to implement the top three pick lotto rules that year and Murray made them push it off one more season. That was a reasonable request anyways, but Eichel is absolutely the reason he did it.
  13. I took a look at Darcy's drafts the other day. I realise this is an incredibly flawed metric, but in his 14 years in Buffalo Darcy drafted 2 All-Stars. 2.
  14. Yes! Sorry, misquoted from twitter.
  15. Just saw these stats tonight. 1) Eichel is 21; he has 44 multi-point games in his career 2) Jack has played 54 games this year. He has 25 even strength primary points on the season (goals and primary assists) Thats a career high for him surpassing 24 in his rookie year; when he played 81 games.
  16. This is totally not worth bringing this thread back to life over, but I've seen a couple tweets congratulating the woman from Remsen, NY who is carrying the olympic flag, and calling her from WNY. Remsen is ~4 hours from Buffalo. Its basically in the Adirondacks. Buffalo is closer to Cleveland than Remsen. Buffalo: Desperately Searching for a Local Angle since 1810.
  17. Even if they don't adjust their evaluation (short of him being on a crazy scoring tear all year I think most of these guys have their opinion on players pretty set in their head), they certainly point to that non-scoring streak and use it as a reason to offer less.
  18. https://www.pscp.tv/w/1DXxyXggQenJM Watch Starman drive through the ceaseless void.
  19. SpaceX just test launched its Falcon Heavy. So far everything has gone off successfully. Some people might have heard of them launching Elon Musk's Tesla into space; that was this flight. Here it is, along with SpaceX's new space suit in the driver's seat, heading to orbit around the sun for a million years(literally): Watched it live. I get giddy over space stuff, but this was extra cool. If you get a chance, go back and watch the whole thing. Until then, here's my favorite part; both side booster rockets landing side by side at the same time:
  20. I am very here for this:
  21. The few games I've watched this year I've liked E-rod
  22. In this dream world I've created, I'd have some discussions with the brewer during interviews to make sure we had similar thoughts on the type of beer I was interested at having at my place, and I'd give some ideas for future beers or whatnot, but the brewhouse would be his/hers. It would be like an owner/GM sort of relationship; if you are terrible I reserve the right to replace you, and I'll definitely have suggestions, but you're the hockey/football/beer person, I'll let you make the calls until I think you shouldn't anymore. This is not the first time I've thought about this. EDIT: An owner/GM relationship where the owners last name isn't Wilson or Pegula :nana:
  23. I missed the launch event yesterday, but here's some more info on the new Iroquois Beer: https://www.facebook.com/communitybeerworks/posts/2033166203376558
