The Replacements are overrated.

IDK, the generation stuff is mostly bulls*** to me. Don't put so much on these kids. They'll have good and bad like the rest of us. Our generation did a lot to fight for LGBTQ and made some big strides there. We were watching the Daily Show and hating on the Bush administration. It was less obvious fighting, maybe a little more subversive, trying to change the culture. Our generation elected Obama. We did some good. What this group is doing is INCREDIBLE. Being so outspoken at such a young age is amazing. Just remember that the Baby Boomers were fighting Vietnam and marching for Civil Rights and all that back in the '60's. Look where they are now. The real lesson is that we all get older and more comfortable, its always the kids that have to do the pushing. Millenials, Xers, and Boomers have to be there to support them, raise their voices, and actually go vote. The young change the culture, the old have to change the laws.

The News guys are always so defensive. Actually they're more preemptively attackers against anyone who isn't in print. Tim Graham's writing is second to none in this area; I'll gobble up his articles, which are often long and detailed, because its just so thorough and well written. But I had to block him on Twitter, because all he does is fight with readers on there and -talk WGR. I'll never forget him going after Matthew Collar of all people about not really playing baseball. It was so dumb.

For a while when I was working with you I was working 6-2:30. Getting out that early was AWESOME, but I couldn't keep up those early hours.

Mittelstadt Signed ELC with Sabres reports directly to Buffalo

Didn't he not negotiate during the season though? He definitely didn't for Drury and Briere. -

I feel attacked. If P-house has one advantage over Bylsma, its that I have at least some confidence that Casey's first shift won't be with Nolan and Pouliot or something. -

That plan worked out great for Darcy. -
Yeah, picking the 3rd QB would actually be fine by me. I'd take any of Darnold, Rosen, and Mayfield.
-
So, theoretically, the Sabres and Mittlestat could agree to NOT burn a year. If I'm reading that right, anyways. Would he consider that?

I'm reasonably convinced that Allen's agent was behind those "the Bills want Allen" rumors.

I'm pretty sure we're going to have to trade up 2 more times if we want to get to 2. 12-->4,5,6 4,5,6-->2 Gonna be expensive. I think 6 is most likely, Colts need more picks. There was a report that the Giants have 3 guys they like that aren't QBs: Barkley, Chubb, and another guy I can't remember. They know the Browns, the Jets and us are going QB, Denver could, too. If they have the #6 pick and the draft goes QB,QB,QB, Barkley, unknown, they know they can still get one of those three. 4 or 5 would be better, though. 5 Might be doable, but it depends on if the Broncos want a QB, or more importantly if they want the 4th QB taken. They could also trade up to 2.
-
And might actually do better in that 3-4. That's an interesting idea.

That is such bull***

Bills going to trade Jerry Hughes to the Giants with #12 and their 2 seconds for #2 (e3)

Again, I've barely watched this year so maybe something has changed, but him smoothly skating down the wing with the puck is so pretty I've watched. And him ripping shots from the circle is great, too.
-
I really do. He is the only good thing about this team to me. Part of me wants him to be traded so he can have teammates who are worth a damn.
-
For my part, if they trade Eichel I won't riot in the street, I will calmly and cooly become a fan of whatever team he goes to. Except the Leafs, **** the Leafs.
-
The question we're asking here is "does trading Jack make the Sabres better" and for me it's a hard no.
-
1) I still agree with this, my point is that the price that would make considering it worth it to me is A) more than what Boston got for Seguin, and therefore B) more than any team is willing to pay 2)That house had severe cracks in the foundation, termites, and was currently on fire. The problem with the tank wasn't getting to the bottom, that was easy, we were practically there already. The problem was that Murray had no idea to rebuild the damn thing afterwards.
-
Eichel was the mystery box if the first option was that pair of comedy club tickets.
-
Thats a false positive though. "Well I threw $1000 over a bridge 5 years ago, but here I am, not living in a gutter!" Half the NHL makes the playoffs, its not really an accomplishment.(The Sabres suck so bad that I haven't paid any attention to the NHL this year, so I had no idea the Bruins were doing so well. My other points stand, however) Trading Eichel for picks and prospects is essentially this:
-
You can't tell me you think Boston won out on that Seguin trade. http://www.thehockeynews.com/news/article/four-years-later-the-bruins-officially-have-nothing-left-from-the-seguin-trade
-
I'm not saying I absolutely wouldn't trade him (ok, maybe I wouldn't, but I could understand if the team did theoretically), I'm saying that wheelbarrow would have to be so full in order to be worth it that a team wouldn't pay it. What's your price here? 2 starters, 3 firsts (non-protected), 2 A level prospects? Does that actually make your team better anytime sooner? And would anyone pay it?
-
There is no return that a team would actually give up that could be worth it. It just doesn't exist. Every draft pick, every prospect you get is hoping one of those guys turns out to be 75% of what Eichel is.
