  1. I just don't see ROR being on this team by the end of next Friday. If nothing else the way it would mirror the Eichel draft would be to perfect.
  2. I'm basically excited about Dahlin because I'm choosing to be. I never got swept up in the Mittelstadt stuff just because I was so dead to the world about the Sabres last year. So I'm forcing myself to go all in on Dahlin.
  3. My new job makes software for the insurance home inspection industry, after two weeks of training I know way more about it than I ever wanted to. DID YOU KNOW: A pool, trampoline, or even some breeds of dog are considered an "Attractive Nuisance", which is something you want but which presents a potential hazard and therefor the insurance carrier will charge you higher premiums for them. It was also my nickname in college, but that's a separate issue.
  4. I feel like the Kovalchuck lottery is a little less Mega Millions and a little more Shirley Jackson. Also, this is what google wants to correct Kovalchuck to:
  5. I loved Rouge One because it felt like it had real stakes. I think they tried to replicate that with the The Last Jedi and...whiffed. I still think TLJ was fine, but its the weakest of the Disney SW films for sure. SOLO was fun and funny, but the humor in it didn't feel forced. It was much more space adventure than space opera, which I think is a good thing for it. And they didn't try to over nostalgia fill it either. #dongloverforever. He really was the only choice to be Lando.
  6. If it was just me I probably would, but my wife is on it, too.
  7. Getting this one in under the wire: My old job's benefits end on June 1st. New job's don't start until July 1st. So now I have to do COBRA for a month. Its not a huge deal, but its a pain that I don't feel like dealing with.
  8. SOLO. Pretty good! He felt like Han, or as least as much like Han as he could when he's not played by Harrison Ford. Glover was great as Lando. Emilia Clark was better here than she is in GoT. Ron Howard really pulled out a good Star Wars movie from the pile of trash that production had become.
  9. lol this is great. Its one of the daughters running that thing, right? I love Vogl, as a straight forward reporter he's the best the news has had in years.
  10. An IN SHAPE person would hardly break a sweat.
  11. I keep hoping Bailey or Baptiste break out but at this point I just don't know if it will happen.
  12. Just about 2 miles one way. Should be pretty doable.
  13. My new job is easily within biking distance from my house. I've gotta get a bike up and running so I can start doing that on nice days.
  14. A Finn and a Swede in the same house? TWO RASMUS ENTER, ONE RASMUS LEAVE.
  15. I know you're kidding, but I'm going to bet "a lot". Kid is pretty strong for 18.
  16. Isn't Dahlin also a LD?
  17. Yeah, thats what I'm picturing. Honestly the only way I would trade ROR is if we signed the Tavares, and the only way I'd sign Tavares is if we traded ROR. They only make sense together to me. Sign JT, sell ROR for either a top-end D-man or a scoring winger and some pieces. I don't see it happening, but that would be the ideal situation for me. JT is on the last year of his deal right now; he's a free agent on July 1.
  18. Isn't one of those players Auston Matthews though? I know his contract wouldn't kick in for another year, but they're talking about him getting 12m.
  19. Somewhere there was a quote from his family or old coach that said that he was scoring to much on offense when he was really little, so the other teams requested he be put on defense to make it more even. It didn't help.
  20. Tavares would be signing, not a trade.
  21. The only way I trade O'Reilly is if we're getting Tavares. Mittelstat might be a 2nd line center in the future, but we really don't know and I don't want all my eggs in that basket. I need another solid second line center on the hook before we let ROR go.
  22. Those guys were awesome. One of them (I think Rudy based on the pictures above; I remember facial hair) came to the last day of the season thing for my house soccer league and somewhere I have a medal signed by him. It was the coolest thing to ever happen to me at that point in my life.
  23. Early 90's it was! I went to a bunch of those games. Rudy and Randy Pikuzinski! Look at these guys! Look at that hair! They used to have a Cub Scout night and we'd go for free. Also I once caught a ball and won a free pizza. Probably my earliest live sports memories are from Blizzard Soccer.
