  1. Yeah, I'd have no problem with that. I don't even hate Ennis, even if he's being overpaid for now. We're so dead on wingers he might actually be a net positive.
  2. I'd take Smith-Pelly. We need help on our lower lines, obviously especially on the wings.
  3. I think they were being hyperbolic, but I agree with what you say here. Vanek gets shoveled into the JAG group with the Staffords and the Gaustads of his era, but he was by far the best of that group for the longest time. Dahlin will almost certainly not surpass him in one season.
  4. Eklund reporting that the Leafs are "heating up" so we can safely assume he is not going to the Leafs.
  5. IDK, if you do four lines I think he makes it as a LW. A quick look at one site and I see Martin, Satan, and Andreychuk as clearly ahead of him. Am I missing anyone?
  6. All time Sabres 26s, where will Dahlin fall, in terms of greatness, on this list after this year? Larry Keenan 1971 Randy Wyrozub 1972 Derek Smith 1976 Alex Tidey 1977-1978 Ken Breitenbach 1979 Steve Patrick 1981-1985 Val James 1982 Mal Davis 1984 Dave Maloney 1985 Phil Russell 1986-1987 Pat Hughes 1986 Robert Logan 1987-1988 Richie Dunn 1989 Darrin Shannon 1989 Dean Kennedy 1990-1991 Keith Carney 1992 Derek Plante 1994-1999 Eric Boulton 2001-2004 Thomas Vanek 2006-2014 Matt Moulson 2014-2017
  7. I still agree with all of those quoted things. They don't need to trade ROR, so you're going to half to pry him away from me. His value is high so I'm setting it high.
  8. “He’s a little like a Peter Forsberg character. He gets really mean. He has a high temper. That gives him a competitive edge at practices and especially in games. He doesn’t lose his head, but he competes. He’s going to have more dirty tricks than people think. He’s not going to take anything for granted, and he’s going to battle for everything.” I know they'll probably be split up for good reason, but I like picturing Angry Risto and Angry Dahlin out there at the same time like Only, you know, more blonde.
  9. I know I'm in the minority here, but I like Skinner. He's good, he's fast, he's still young, I don't think he'd be that expensive either in a trade or in free agency. I also don't think he's coming here.
  10. Croatia is through regardless. Nigeria has 3 points, Iceland has 1 Argentina has 1. If Argentina beats Nigeria and Iceland doesn't WIN against Croatia they're automatically through.
  11. Oops, you're right, I wasn't giving that Draw point to Argentina. Still a good chance they don't make it through, actually. They need to beat Nigeria by a couple goals to feel comfortable, assuming a loss to Croatia.
  12. Bingo. He's worth the 3oa+ to me. If he's not to you, then to bad. Ultimate position of strength. I want that "contractor who doesn't want to do a job but will if you accept my gross over estimate of the work because now its worth it for me to it, I guess" payout.
  13. True number one goalies are tough to find; how many are there in the league, 5? 10? I think 5 is closer. All I want is a replacement level goalie for cheap while we develop Ullmark.
  14. If they lose this today Messi might actually quit the national team for good.
  15. If Argentina lose this today Iceland can move forward with a win against Nigeria tomorrow.
  16. I'd take Drouin. I can't think of a worse place for him than les Habs.
  17. Yeah, I don't want to trade for a goalie unless its for a very small price. Like, 7th round picks.
  18. As of 11AM on 6/21/2018 I am now on the "do not trade ROR" train. I assume this will change 5 more times before tomorrow evening.
  19. Yup, that's the one I'm pumped for as well.
  20. These 11AM games are working well for me. I work close to Mes Que now so I can get over there around minute 47-50 and catch the rest of the second half. The games the last couple days haven't been any great shakes, but France/Peru today should be good.
  21. Yeah, NFL is different. Top 5/10 picks are gold, and players get nothing. In the NHL those established players are worth the real investment, and picks RAPIDLY drop off in value.
  22. 2nd overall you could MAYBE talk me into straight up. Maybe. But 3rd is a no. There seems to be a decent cap there. If the pick isn't "Oh, if you're picking third you're absolutely picking X guy" like 1st and 2nd are, then its not enough.
  23. Not to go all 2004-forum-speak, but QFT.
  24. Thinking about it some more I'd probably need another center back in that trade as well, even if it meant retaining some salary from ROR. But if we do that and then take Tkachuk I'll be displeased.
