  1. Right, couldn't you just as easily call it a "conditional 3rd that drops to a 4th if the Sabres trade Hutton before the 2019 or [blah lah blah]".
  2. Ah, that's what "eliminated by fair play" means. I get the message behind it, but it seems an odd way to determine who moves forward.
  3. I didn't see this yesterday either, but here it is from Dreger"
  4. I'm fine with 4m for 2y or 3m for 3y. 4m for 3y...little rich for my blood.
  5. I'm doing that for my trip in August to the 'dacks. Hopefully in future years I won't have to, but I'm now the "Lead" at my position, and its going to be me, who started 5 weeks ago, and a woman who started after me as the whole department. Our senior guy is leaving next week. We're going to need another body just to keep the queues down, especially because we're both new. I'm planning on putting in maybe an hour a day just to keep track of that world and take some quick tasks off her desk, unless there's an emergency. Then I'm out. Sometimes can't get cell data either. You know how lakes are.
  6. I've never made it to one and I really need to. Happening this year for sure.
  7. Good way to look at this. Just for reference.
  8. Someone name a person with a blue check mark who has even mentioned that ROR trade and I'll listen, until then I;ve got no time for it.
  9. I really don't even care if we give up a third instead of a fourth. The percent hit rate between the two is like a 5% difference, and neither are very good.
  10. I'll be honest, I'm not super informed on how to read them either, but the important parts of that chart are the big red line (which seperates good from bad), and the labels "Dull" "Good" "Fun" and "Bad. The higher up on the chart you are, the fewer shots allowed against your team per sixty minutes while you were on the ice (more dull). The further right on the scale the more shots your team took per sixty minutes while you were on the ice (more good) To add another hitch in the giddy-up, this is showing how other players performed with him specifically. In the black is how a player, corresponding to their jersey number and listed in the chart to the right, played per sixty minutes while they were on the ice WITH Sheary. In the red is without. So you can compare how they played with him vs. without him. In general most player's qualities got better WITH Sheary rather than away from him. Also, they're almost all above the "Good" line. I think. Someone who actually knows things feel free to correct me.
  11. If they make a handful of other moves to bring in bodies for this year I'd be willing to part with ROR for futures. I think I need one of those bodies to be a center, though.
  12. That is how I interpreted it.
  13. The year is 2020. Every Sabre is an American or a Swede. Toronto REALLY hates us.
  14. One of the things I like about this is that both players only have 2 years left on their deal. Makes it a lot easier to swallow that money coming in.
  15. Jeremy White saying to stay tuned this afternoon. He's not usually SOURCES guy (though he's had more of it lately) so I'm paying attention. Also
  16. They lost so it doesn't matter, but I can't believe they got 6 minutes stoppage time at the end. If the score was the other way at the end of regulation there's no way it would have been more than 2.
  17. I voted more optimistically, but this is probably the most likely. Though if Casey turns into a bonafide all star , then I'd rather take one star and one bust at consecutive pick 8s than 2 middling players.
  18. Jeremy White pointed out that those picks could have been planned by JBot to head elsewhere for another player. This is all massive speculation, really. Of course, that's the name of the thread.
  19. I've seen a couple people on twitter conjecture that there was probably more in there in terms of actual players coming the Sabres way as well. but who knows.
