Yup, absolutely. We'll see how this shakes out.

This is what I'm saying with the thing with his kid. Three teens come at you, you feel it's dangerous enough to punch someone, you don't leave your child behind after the altercation. I believe in due process, but if it turns out he hit a guy out if anger, not self-defense, I don't care if the guy was 17 or 37, I want the offender off my team. I have no time for that crap, especially from a coach who is supposed to help boys become men.

Page one of the police report. If its true his son stayed behind, then the self-defense thing completely falls apart to me. I'm not a parent, but I can't imagine if you're worried for your own safety you feel ok leaving your kid there. If this was self defense the move should have been: 1)Whatever leads up to altercation 2) Punch guy 3) Grab kid and get home 4) Call police. EDIT:added the bold

If they're not rediculous, which I can't imagine they will be, I'm in. -
One of my first memories is my dad running out of the woods in our backyard, swinging his shirt around his head because he ran over a nest of ground bees with the mower. I found it hilarious.

I'm getting ~30 on my little Impreza Hatchback. Live in the city, commute via highway.

So far I have been unable to get into the Gose stuff. My cousin bought some cans of TKTYATHG for the fourth on accident, and hated them, so I tried one, and could barely get through it. Of course, a couple years ago I couldn't handle sours, and now they at least have a place on the shelf for me.

He's already melted the cold steel of my heart.

Satire like the Onion I get. Just making up fake stories in order to actually trick people is dumb, annoying, and only done to drive traffic.

No way. Not his first year. Even Crosby waited two, he was 19, and that made him the youngest ever Captain in history. I like Jack, but no. Maybe if Gionta retires in the next few years.

Oh man, sorry, I totally missed that connection. It looked like you were calling him out for calling himself the Dominator or something weird. My bad.

Just doing his part to make the board more accessible to newcomers.

Welcome to the hatchback club. They're wonderful.

Possibly only for this week, apparently @pham1717 Eichel will wear practice jersey #41 in this camp. That will not be his number.

Smartphone's aren't necessary, but goddamn are they handy. All in one device I've got a flashlight, a calculator, a watch, a timer, and an alarm clock; I have apps for converting bits/bytes, hex to binary, I have an app that lets me use it as a level, I can read the news, or a book, or keep up on sabres news, or contact pretty much anyone I know six ways from sundown. Not to mention having instant access to the sum total of all human knowledge. Need to know what temperature to cook chicken to when I'm already out by the grill? Check. Or the best way to mount a picture in plaster before I put a giant hole in my wall? Check. How about a quick refresher on how to install something Linux when I don't have access to the internet yet? Check. Plus I can play any and all music I want while I do any of those tasks. Oh, right, and you can still call people with them, like a real phone. There's no one reason to get a smartphone, and people can spend to long with their heads stuck in them. You certainly don't NEED it (I just got one this past winter). but it is probably the most versatile and powerful tool yet invented by humanity, and it fits in your pocket. Just sayin'. Ok, seriously, this offseason needs to be over. I'm clearly going stir crazy over my want of Eichel action.

Noone can say GMTM is ignoring Rochester now.

According to Wikipedia he was the goaltender coach for the Japan men's national ice hockey team from 2006 to 2011. I bet Taro put in a good word for him.

How far away are you from a full tear down and rebuild?

Ahh, the reverse Costanza, a bold move.

I can't wait to root for something for the first time in 2 years. I'm getting very itchy.

Yes, unfortunately. Those look awesome, Jo. I love that gold on the Boston one. I did some of these, too, just for kicks. They aren't in Josie's stratosphere, but I love uniforms. Beauts: My least favorite of the three I've done. Tried to incorporate the edge of the sword in to some spots, not sure it turned out great. Its ok, but I'm also sad with the black and white. I think on ice it just doesn't pop out at all. Oh well. New York Riveters: Much better. Kinda did a similar thing to Josie with the riveted look, but went a little crazy, and a little more literal with it. Looking at it now I wish I had made the home socks or shorts red instead of blue. Oh well. Connecticut Whale: This ones a little silly, but I like it. Front and back is a whale's tail popping out of the water, and stuck with the water motif for the legs. I'm apparently a very literal person. I haven't done one for Boston, and I probably won't get to it before its "due". Now I can't get Jo's look out my head now anyways, so its probably just as well before I just copy it, haha. -
I thought it was McGinn we were supposed to be making fat jokes about now?

1) Yup, especially with the NYS thing that allows them (specifically CBW who is just a brewery, not a brewpub) to sell beer on premises if they buy X amount of NYS produce for their stuff. 2) Tim Herzog mentioned this when I was on a tour of Flying Bison. Consistency is very important, especially to him, where he's producing the same beers over and over and expects them to be, well, consistent. Until the local hops shake themselves out a bit, I think he and other large brewers will wait.

Rumor regarding Sale of Coyotes for Move to Vegas
sabills replied to dejeanneret's topic in The Aud Club
LV is getting a team, one way or the other; I just mean the name. If you call them the Gamblers or something associated with gambling even tangentially there will be an association with gambling on sports, which all leagues are fairly desperate to avoid (see: Pete Rose). Honestly, I'm pretty sure that's why there hasn't been a big four team in Vegas before.
